I help regularly help Fidel tweak bars and concepts so that he can improve. I feel it's a genuine endeavor and he's looking to get better. So why would I get up his ass about a similar concept? You really think his drive to win a battle is greater than his desire to improve? You really think he went through and stole ONE fucking concept to help his chances to win? Like we haven't all wrote a similar concept before.

I don't doubt you have good intentions but you build up these caricatures and evil power structures to fight and fight and fight against and I don't feel like they accomplish your true goals very well, but some odd reaffirmation of your own creations. It took Phenomonon less than 1 week to join and leave MM because he seen that Grizz was deliberately losing battles to MM members on a multi acc, and allegedly got Mind Fuck to help him write for a battle. There is nothing to air out in ACs. If anyone breaks the rules on the site, they won't stay around for long.

It gets on your nerves because you're now on the other side of it. You must have conveniently forgot that Chris EXPLICITY said all votes stand. I asked if that meant we should solicit votes from other places and he encouraged it. I assumed others would be doing the same thing, lots of contests are based at least partially on pulling in 'votes' from other venues. It was NOT a normal run of the mill here's a topical battle. That was made extremely clear by the host himself.

I didn't break any rules there, I didn't do anything shady. Yet you're trying to peg that on me like it was some kind of character altering scandal. Was it 'unfair'? Maybe. Life is unfair though. I used an advantage within the parameters of the competition, why would that make you question my character?

Nothing about any of this battle shit is objective. At all. You want me to be honest? The times I get the most votes and win the most shit is when I'm most active on the site helping others elevate and being involved. You think that's a coincidence? It's how things operate. You make connections with people and things fall into place differently. If more people like me than like you, then I win. Everywhere, at everything.

The site dumped on you personally because you got in a squabble with the owner and made multiple attacks on him. The internet isn't different than anywhere else. You can't go "Ey FUCK this coffee shop, they don't make coffee the way I want them to and the staff always gives orders to regulars faster than they do to me. The owner is a prick" and then expect to have things stay the same when you go in to buy coffee from that place because there's some kind of arbitrary justice in your mind. Then you're the guy yelling at some other guy because he didn't pay for his coffee, regardless of any relevant factors. Then when the place goes, ahhh well it's not a big deal, you freak the fuck out because last time you didn't pay for coffee they tagged you for theft.

The controversial status you're so proud of having is just a body of negative energy you bring with you everywhere you go because you have to be right all the time. It's like the interview you did with MUGGZ (IIRC), basically just calling him a shitty person and a waste of LB resources. The questions were skewed from the start to prove whatever point you had already decided was 'right'. You didn't see me raise a giant ruckus when Dirty Work won the LBTT against me by a majority of own crew votes. That could have been a scandal. I could have flared up in the forums and talked about how turnbulls cheated to get the title within your own crew and blah blah blah. But I didn't. Because it wasn't worth it. Instead, I talked to whoever was heading things up at the time and told them, you know what even if it isn't happening, it's probably better in the future if we just eliminate all crew votes. Just to keep potential bias out of it. And.....they stopped coming in later for other battles in the same time period. Problem solved. No bitching, no crying about cheating. Sure I was unhappy I lost, I'm always unhappy when I lose, but I didn't throw a forum fit and try to get DW and the voters in trouble. Waste of time.

I'm also a leader in this squad, where I wasn't in others. I'm not going to sit idly by while you shit on reputations. An accusation was made, RULE made a pretty clear argument how shit happens regularly, and you still pushed for the bite. Don't say you weren't making that accusation, because you bitched about it up and down that entire thread.

Just so everyone's clear, what Dono is referring to is when he asked people to vote on his topical tournament battle on TextStars. He is saying that because the rules didn't say he wasn't allowed to ask people to vote for him, then it's completely fair.....MURDA!

I love how much you bring up that topical final and then say you don't even care. Everyone on IMs were hitting me up about it. Just for the sheer fun of defeating you in this argument, lets go into that facts. Firstly, I asked you, name by name, if it was alright for certain guys to vote. You, name by name, said yes. Your problem only arose when they voted against you.

But let's forget that for a moment. You bring up the Dirty Work battle, all the time, but what about the InCizion battle? The one where you won your title?

I hope not everyone thinks this is true. Is it a factor for some folks? Of course but hopefully it's not the majority. If it is why bother battling at all? If this is the truth though, then changes need to be made somehow. Maybe all battles are anonymous until after voting.

That was hyperbolic to some degree, but it's also true to a degree. I mean you can't write pure shit and get away with it, but in a close battle between two people of similar technical skill level, the one more well liked with more influence and a stronger image will win every time. I'm willing to bet on that.

I'm sure you've seen 'legends' winning battles that are questionable. A voter's expectations before a battle play into how the votes come out. The verses are definitely NOT the end all be all.

And being anonymous would help to a certain degree, but in audio your voice can come out highly unique and quite a few people actually have distinct writing styles as well. Only so much you can do to mediate things.

At the end of the day, voting is all preference. And there are plenty of ways to influence preferences on a site of this size.
