Wow this is a hard question lol.
My first CD I ever bought myself and owned was D12 World. (parents didn't like it ahaha) I'm going to name my top 10 for personal enjoyment, not lyricism. Because for example, I really enjoyed Eminem's album encore, however I know that's not fucking with Infinite. So, my favorite. (in no particular order) Doggystyle - Snoop dogg Jackpot - Chingy Raw - Hopsin The Red Light District - Ludacris Life After Death - Biggie All Eyes On Me - Tupac The Big Picture - Big L The Black Album - Jay Z Laugh Now, Cry Later - Ice Cube Marshall Mathers LP, Slim Shady LP, Eminem Show, 8 mile, Recovery - Eminem. (Couldn't choose one, I've always thoroughly enjoyed all his work) I always bumped NWA stuff, anything Eazy-e, i always listened to Papoose, Cassidy, 50cent, and many many many more, but these are CD's I always remember bumping consistently, when a lot of other artists I would pick and choose songs, where as I bumped the whole album for those. |
Smh this nigga said chingy haha
Can't believe I forgot mobb deep - the infamous Definitely in my top 10 |
Chingy had one hit
|
Kool G Rap & DJ Polo- Road To The Riches
Eric B & Rakim- Paid In Full Wu Tang- 36 Chambers Organized Konfusion- Organized Konfusion Slick Rick- The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick Nas- Illmatic Eric B & Rakim - Follow The Leader Madvillain- Madvillainy Big L- Lifestylez ov da poor and dangerous Eminem- Slim Shady LP my personal favs in no order |
@Phil Banks aha i was about to put a Marvin Gaye CD down but i only know a few songs off of it (just the popular ones)
For Mobb Deep, I fucks wit Infamous & Murda Muzik but it's hard to choose which one is better. |
only song i fuck with off of slim shady lp was "if I had a million dollars"
|
What's going my favorite non ap album... Make me wanna holla prolly my fave song off the album ... bump that shit alot
|
Mobb Deep best album is the on with Give up the Goods the orange colored onne
|
@BLUNT-MAN
Def gotta have the Chronic and 2001... Stillmatic and Reasonable Doubt two of the greatest albums... Tupac Greatest hits(don't know if greatest hits cheating, but damn... must have)... Enter the 36 chambers(prob the only Wu Tang joint I really jammed too)... being from the south I luv Jeezy the inspiration... t.i. king and trap musik... Pun capital punishment... Blueprint... theres a lot more but that's sum of my main joints I fucked with... and I remember when get rich or die trying drop... its the only 50 joint I fucked with but damn... that shit stayed in the CD player for months... |
@Phil Banks don't think i've listened to that album by Mobb Deep...
@Mr-Felon Shiii, I fuck wit that whole CD... Rock Bottom, Still Don't Give A Fuck, Just Don't Give A Fuck, '97 Bonnie Clyde, As the World Turns (story is dope), Role Model, Brain Damage, My Name Is (played out now), Guilty Conscience (played out), I'm Shady, & Royce & Em kill it in Bad Meets Evil. I miss tha old Eminem... even tho i been fuckin wit MMLP2, but not a fan of Recovery or Relapse. @Pockets-Poppin yeah i feel you, all my fav Tupac songs are scattered through like 7 CDs Lol.. hard to choose.. So I'd prolly say Greatest Hits as well Lol & 50 only had that one dope album IMO, fell off ever since Game dissed him. But Damn... Seems like everyone for the most part has the same Top Albums or atleast same Artists in their Prime.. A lot of repeat selections... In conclusion, 90s & early 2000s >>>>>>> present. I love hearing some new music that i can vibe wit & relate too, but they don't get the same plays as my favorites. I still bump that classic Rap shit the most. You Can't Remake Classics, Just Ask The Game LoL |
@BLUNT-MAN there's good songs being made... but its hard to find an album you can put on and let it play... def agree that period was better than today... for me Reasonable doubt Stillmatic and Ready to die(which I forgot to mention) once they start I can't skip a track cause they are complete albums... can I live, gimme the loot and juicy... that's what got me hooked to hip hop, real talk...

Yeah I fucked with early Eminem but not everything but he changed his style up as of late BUT he still drops songs i fuck with here and there MMLP2 i felt he tapped back into some of his roots
|
no doubt, i actually ignored MMLP2 for awhile cuz i wasn't a fan of bezerk or monster.. but after lookin past his mainstream songs, shit def reminded me of the Ol Em..
|
Love MMLP2 I'd say my top 2 albums I always come back to are
The Eminem Show and... Dre 2001 ---------- Post added at 12:28 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:26 AM ---------- Quote:

@Saxx i thought you were old bro? Usually dudes 21+ would say MMLP & Chronic > Eminem Show & 2001... (From My Experience) but both are still Fiire & similar lol
|
|
Oh for some reason I thought you were like 30+, But still strange to hear that from a older dude who was around for his Old Shit.. Have you always listened to Rap?...MMLP2 is like his old shit.. but fuck Relapse & even Recovery, Encore is def not up there with his classics
@Saxx |
Wel im 30 but dont mean I HAVE to act it lol
Yeah agreed I hated encore out of those the most. MMLP1 wasnt amazing imo like I say Eminem Show is my fav. @BLUNT-MAN |
MMLP was the best tho?... That's his prime right there. When all the controversy hit, that album defined em. Drug Ballad is my GOAT song.
& im only 22 lol & you def dont act like a 30 y/o on here but your cooler than Snoopy, he's 33 and acts like a gossiping little girl when he trys n beefs. smh save that for another day tho aha |
