What's Wrong With Sniping & Dropping mad opens, *when you accept all challenges*?

Isn't a good thing to battle alot?

I feel like sniping & dropping alotta opens is frowned on & discouraged.

It's good to get some quick keys in while waiting for ya next big match..

Plus i like battling new faces that bring new ideas, their can be some dope noobs if you look past the LB structure.

............Any thoughts?...........

When they start shit and try to bring my record up, and I go to their page and almost all of their opponents are shit.

They still put more work in than you..

you get a rep through battling & bringing activity, not sittin in the forums.

I don't sit in the forums. I battle in all the tournaments, until then I send bars to people and they duck me. Quality > Quantity. It's better to put fewer battles out with better material, then a bunch of battles with shit material like Bnas. Illokwent battles like once a month?

I think its fine unless you are praying on people obviously levels below you. Leave those ass verses for another new kid to get practice on. It makes them feel like there is a level of competition they can get some wins on instead of every battle being a blowout cuz someones picking on a brand new kid that gets too intimidated to come back and elevate.

Why would droppin opens be frowned upon? I could see why sniping is. If you're doing both equally I wouldn't consider it sniping when you're puttin yourself out there consistently also

Sniping can be used as practice. Say, your trying a new style or something. It's better to test something new against a weaker opponent, rather then a stronger one who can potentially make you pay if you fuck up.

nah, test it against a stronger opponent, cuz if you lose, then you will know the style doesn't work as is, if against a weaker opponent, chances are you'll win with a rather shit verse & not be aware that it's shit lol

Sniping promotes voting since they need credits to accept so many battles
Sniping make the site look more active
Sniping encourages elevation from the lower level dudes getting beaten by them constantly

When u snipe sometimes you waste bars on what could have a good battle if u vs some one closer to ur own level maybe ur battle might have gone hotlist but when u snipe not as much ppl gonna see ur bars but that being said some one gotta snipe em!

Some people don't bother about elevating, and if they are only focused on sniping then they get a little bit away from what is and isn't an actual good verse.

But my outlook on it has changed as LB has. Speaking with 0RTHADOX again and when guys like him were in their sniping prime, the site had a second dimension. I'm fucking sick of knowing everyone on the site. I bet there is dudes on here from 2007 who actually made mates, almost like real life mates, and I didn't know any of them. Like back in the day, I'd have considered Incogneeto and Cypher $imile to be good mates of mine on here.

A good example is BLACKOUT CLIQUE. This was a crew with me, Rain Matrix, Ill Blaze (BAR SHOTz) and two guys called sile and ET CnS. We had elevation threads and everything rocking, we spoke al the time, and we didnt even have the IMs or anything. No one really knew any of us as we were complete nobodies, yet we had out own clique going. That stuff doesn't happen anymore. Almost everyone on this entire site is known because of how small it's got. Maybe if more people battled open and snipeily then that all might come back.

only way sniping is cool in my book is if its against a bigger name

I wqs against it but now im all for it. If I post an open....I expect to get 'sniped' by someone higher than me. Then I learn from how they beat me. I do the same thing ti people below me.

Thing is you ain't gonna build a real rep just by sniping no offence to Barzilla but he has an amazing record but is not considered a great by many on here.

I try to keep it so I'll face a decent guy (and likely lose) so now I face a decent guy and lose and make uo for it by sniping two whack guys.
