The "Real Life Shit" Excuse
 

Can someone please explain how real a nigga life gotta be for them to no show a 4 day/96 hour event? Most verses be due in like 4 days that's why i say 4 day/96...

I understand some people be going through some shit but when everyone starts using the same excuse, it starts to get a bit annoying. Like just say you missed the date because your an idiot and didn't keep track of time.

I mean some dudes would log on daily, use the chat for hours, posting in threads, but then no show a verse with some sort of excuse.

No show here. I didn't make any excuses, just didn't show. I have some reasons, not great ones. I don't really feel too bad about it though. I've been on both sides of the coin flip. Most people here have no showed at one point in time or another. Shits bound to happen occasionally, yeah its annoying but its the internet and no one is held accountable so its easy to do.

If you really feel a certain way about it you could enforce some kind of punishment for no showing. Otherwise its gonna continue to happen.

Also, that "real life shit" is used as an excuse a lot but sometimes its legit and what are you gonna do? When Grams died I was out of town for a week, it didn't cause me to no show anything but if it did I wouldn't think twice about it. People have priorities.

I never no showed a battle. Haven't had many challenges sent to me. Also filled in for a no show on a crew battle bsi vs ACS. All in all, I got shit I have to deal with in real life to. But I don't commit to anything I feel like I can't come through with. I'm not gonna put my real life business out there because I never had to make an excuse. I never will have to either.

Not everybody does so little that their schedule's literally never flips on them...

I've no showed a few times. Quite a lot was because I just wasn't feeling it what so ever. But I've never legitimately been "too busy". As much as people can throw the generic "no life" disses, every single one of us on the site has a lot of other engagements, but like you said, I'm not signing up for something which I think that, for any reason, I won't be able to show in.
