@Godbody I created a Gamers forum couple weeks ago in site happenings

General Talk, as defined by the description of the board on the forum page: Talk about anything Hip Hop or non-Hip Hop related here, be it sports, video games, emerging artists or rapper comparison.


tl:dr Godbody is stupid

should make a sub forums to define games vs Forum games to not confuse the gen pop

ya we actually made the gen talk forum an merged every other forum with it. we did that so ppl could talk about w/e here.... i dunno the gamers forum kinda goes against that

if there wasnt as much game talk they it's be w.e ya know, but we got lotta nerds on these forums.. so we have to segregate ourselves : /

@DJ Denton, don't move stuff into there. Keep that for site games. If you start having different sections for conversations, they will die immediately. I can tell you right now that I won't be checking that section out, and I'm probably the most into gaming of everyone on the site. Keep general talk in here, and forum games in there.

But yeah, it never works. There used to be loads of boards on LB. General Talk, Rapper Comparison, Text Lounge etc. Everyone posted in Text cause people don't want to bounce all around the forum to talk about MGS you know.

Yeah I agree with you. I did this incase people play games can know where to find preexisting threads. I really do appreciate your opinion

We had a gamers forum before and it didn't work.

We also had a sports forum ect and it totally killed discussion for these topics.

Trial and error has proven that Keeping everything under 1 roof is best for activity.

You start scattering different topics about under different lounges and you kill the community because people simply can't be fucked having to navigate the forums every time they want to discuss a particular topic.

Edit: I just realised this is a Godbody suggestion. Why did I bother.

Not trying to step on your toes and it's not something I would normally do. But I moved the threads in question back to General Talk so they don't get slept on. I just think it would be better to make it easier for the members rather than having them navigate a maze of threads and forums.

Thats why we cut a lot of the fat a year ago and it's worked a charm since @Denton.
