Had a scary religious dream.
 

I do believe in God, for sure. Last night I was searching up stuff on the internet, debates between atheist and monks/priest, Christians, etc... One of the priest was arguing Satan will take over eventually. So I fell asleep and had this dream that I was in this normal city/village type of thing. And Satan begins taking over, statues of him were rising, people following him killing Christians. It was me, Jesus and 3 of my close friends. Jesus told me to never trust the Vatican because it's the main source of corruption. Long story short, I was told to trust him and follow him and we wouldn't die (which seemed inevitable in the dream) and we did make it out. Idk if this means anything or it's just a dream. Any takes on this?

The thought that dreams have any real "meaning" other than things your brain conjures up after the rem stage of sleep is a debatable subject, and religious people seem to like to find meaning in things that often have no meaning also so I'm sure quite a bit of people will respond here with different theories on what it "means". If I could pander to this side of the opinion I'd say the dream means that "Jesus" wants you to trust in him even in hours of peril, where it would be easy to succomb to the pressure that a powerful being such as Lucifer was actually taking over, if I was more religious I'd say this could have been a test of sorts to see how you would react. Though, I am not. It was simply a dream, a few nights back I dreamed I morphed into a demon and ripped people apart, some could argue that reflects inner anger and some could argue it simply means I had a dream.

It was just weird.. I remember like we were outside of the vatican some how and I was like ''we need to pray'' and he kept saying ''this isn't the place, lets find the chapel'' Dude idk, it was literally the longest dream I've ever had.

Maybe it was a lucid dream and u were controlling the shit, if u were aware/thought u were dreaming in ur dream

Not sure then man. It's controversial shit, there isn't really any science to if they actually mean anything. Would be interesting if it starts recurring. I want to do that lucid dream shit sounds awesome, but you have to realize you are dreaming lol.

Happened to me on a few occasions. When I was younger I was in a dream w/ like a bunch of superheroes and I realized I was actually dreaming. Wasn't probably smart enough to realize what I could've done, kind of just warned everyone else in the dream it's a dream lol like that would do anything.

Hmm, that's oddly close to my first lucid dream &Obey.

I was with the justice league on a dank ass spaceship and realized I was dreaming, so I thought about flying and flew. Then I was like "well wtf invisibility is much cooler than this shit" and went invisible.

Now I try to lucid dream every time I can, because you can effectively control them which means there are limitless possibilities as to what you can do, which fascinates me.

Neither can I, I've written papers on this subject for schools. I wrote a paper about how it would be amazing to see machines in which make you conscious inside of your dream, so that you could effectively live your fantasies such as a paralyzed person running in the olympics or some random dude having sex with taylor swift.

Then I watched inception and was like "Fuck they probably thought I straight up jacked this premise"

I don't believe in either, but I believe in good and evil...and Evil will one day take over the world. Also, the part about building monuments of Satan wasn't a dream..People are really trying to Build a statue of Satan.


The ideas of religions these days are getting more stupid by the day.

Yeah there aren't machines, but there are techniques i have heard of that people use and they regularly lucid dream like every night.
