Multis over everything?
 

Why does it seem like all the voters strictly vote for multis. Seems like if you have pure multis with weak concepts and setups and no wordplay or metaphors, you will win. I started out using straight multis and everyone told me i had to tighten up my concepts and structure etc. Now it seems like that's all i need to win a battle....what gives?

Multis ain't everything to me bro but sometimes it does help.

I'm a wordplay fiend. That's the shit i look for in a verse, of course the multis are important, but not as important as punches. Punches should win it for you.

i personally look for the verse as a whole composition.. multis add into the factor tho but not the main substance.. pretty much accents everything else in the verse tbh

Multis make the verse flow better IMO but aren't what determines a battle. And tbh all wordplay sucks on this site. I haven't seen good wordplay in a long time, it's either forced or played

multi's bring trouble. A lot of ppl verses come out sounding awkward due to a 4-5 multi count. Thats cool if your a lyricism battler, but if your the punch liner type, you shouldn't worry about them.

Think of it like Mohamed Ali , clever use of words added with the punches = The Greatest.
