Eminem - Monster

Chills, honestly.. Just a video of putting a legend's career into retrospect. Dude to me is one of the greatest musicians of all time. No one's changed a generation like him since the Beetles. It's truly amazing, enjoy.

GRizzEAT 12-16-2013 08:21 PM

they been playin this in Detroit for a grip... each time i heard it i wondered how em was gonna angle this video... Dope shit & Niiice post brah.

this was a good video .. i usually dont like his videos but this one was a nice change from his usual

hes aged so little that when he was rapping in 8 mile in his old school attire i thought it was the original video lol .. then i realized it wasnt .. crazy

Saaame! Lmao, I was like.. wait, this is 8 mile's clip. Why are the lips syncing up? After all the drugs he did he barely aged.. *Goes for sleeping pills in cabinet*

Fidel Z 12-16-2013 08:54 PM

I love his second verse.

GRizzEAT 12-17-2013 02:21 AM

Ah. Surprised is a bit much. I limit that man to nothing, everything from him is auto-respect, regardless to how it may come across... boi is tha definition of lyrical paint.
:whoa:
*em reading from his lb account*

Nicholas 12-17-2013 03:07 AM

The G.O.A.T, no one else even comes close to him. I think everyone will realise that more so post-death unfortunately.

Fidel Z 12-17-2013 04:22 AM

There was a rapper I think his name was Tupac Amaru Shakur aka GOAT lol Em defo nice with it

GRizzEAT 12-17-2013 05:08 AM

Nah, theres a man named Nasir Jones. point period..

em nice but it takes alot to be GOAT, NAS GOT CREDENTIALS FOR ALL THA ABOVE.

But no ones fukin w/ em on jus song vision and complete thought to metaphor process.

..GOAT , Nah. Top 3 yeah'ish. 5 fasho... n thats from a detroit nigga.

UhMAZING 12-17-2013 12:27 PM

eh, Eminem is dope, nobody can argue and say he's not. Greatest of all time though? No.
Nas is dope too, but on a different level, 2 pac is One of the greatest of all time, I'm sure if we had no 2pac (he's not dead either, btw..but that's a whole diff. thread) we'd have no Eminem. But for every generation someone emerges and blows our minds and then we fixate on them and give them titles like the Greatest Of All Time...
example...LL Cool J is the self proclaimed G.O.A.T, even named his album that...Does that mean he's the G.o.a.t?...No. Soon and if not already some other white dude, or anyone for that matter...they could be purple....will emerge and make Eminem look like Vanilla Ice. That's Real talk, quote these words the day that shit happens.

Godbody 12-18-2013 09:13 AM

1) video is good
2) Eminem looks old as shit. YOU must be on drugs if you think otherwise
3) Eminem isnt the GOAT. Nas > Eminem
4) Pac (& BIG) aren't even Top 10 tbh

Phracture 12-18-2013 09:40 AM

@Godbody how you say Big is not top 10 ? but you think Rakim is a goat ... Big would destroyyyy him .

Obey 12-18-2013 10:02 AM

Eminem = GOAT. No one's been able to do what he's done on & off the mic.

BIG was alright but he wasn't great.. Lyrically I'd shit on Notorious B.I.G....written OR freestyle and that's no disrespect to the dead man. His style is too basic, his rhyme patterns are lame, and his lyricism is like a watered down Nas. great story teller though.

He shook shit up while he was here with timeless records and me being from right outside NY during the time he was alive & famous I saw the impact he had on the world firsthand. Doesn't make him a great rapper though

Pac > BIG and Rakim > BIG & Pac

& Eminem can't be the GOAT.. You don't become the GOAT by putting out inconsistent bullshit.. while I find his latest album to be better than Relapse & Recovery, you need to keep in mind that Relapse & Recovery are utter shit when compared to albums like MMLP & Encore

NOBLE 12-18-2013 11:27 AM

I wouldn't consider Eminem the G.O.A.T but he's certainly the greatest white rapper ever and probably the most influential rapper period when you consider how many white kids he inspired to get into rap.
Notorious B.I.G doesn't come anywhere close to Rakim imo, and to me, he's not even as nice as Pac and that's not to take away anything from him. he's still a legend.

I usually don't disagree with you, but ''greatest white rapper?'' MAJORITY of black and white rapper today say Eminem's easily top 3 if not the greatest. Look at his accolades, he's sold the most albums ever for a rap artist. Even Rakim in an interview says Eminem's great. And people saying Nas is better, Nas COULD HAVE been better. He fell off, plain and simple. No one's ever had the consistency like Eminem.

NOBLE 12-18-2013 11:57 AM

If we measure "greatness" by how many albums sold and accolades, then Eminem is definitely the greatest rapper of all time. Me saying he's the greatest white rapper is not to say he's not great, regardless of his race. I think its easy for anyone who knows anything about rap to see that Eminem is a very skilled emcee.
But the thing about rap music is it has a MAJORITY white audience. Everyone listens to rap, but when you look at who's spending money towards buying the albums and concert tickets, its predominantly white people. And if you think that dynamic has nothing to do with Eminem's rise to prominence, you have totally erred because even he himself and other rappers like Macklemore have admitted that.
it is what it is. I think Eminem is great, I just don't think he's the greatest of all time. I can think of a few people who I'd rather listen to their discographies from front to back more than Eminem even if they haven't scored the accolades and whatnot.
