Ohs 09-12-2013 10:09 AM

yo

how come some battles got 20 votes while others got less then 5

---------- Post added at 10:03 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:02 AM ----------

a tournament battle shouldn't close without atleast 10 votes

---------- Post added at 10:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:03 AM ----------

and mod votes should count the same, all VP shoud be equal, cuz you could have 10 regular votes and get beat cuz dude had 3 mod votes

Fidel Z 09-12-2013 10:36 AM

I agreee! with the VP shit

Phracture 09-12-2013 10:41 AM

@Ohs some battles been out longer than others but post your Link in the FVC thread .

Obey 09-12-2013 01:16 PM

@Ohs there's a reason some people got that VP tho. It's a win lose, you know?

NOBLE 09-12-2013 05:40 PM

People need to dead this "mod vp" talk. If only y'all knew. First of all, there is no longer any such thing as "mod vp." It's been that way for about a month now. All staff collectively decided to lower our vp to the same vp as FVC and other "good voters." What this means is ANYBODY on this site has the potential to earn the same vp as a mod or FVC member simply by being a longstanding good voter, without being a mod or FVC member, and there are quite a few who do. Secondly, staff vp counts for 30% the amount of a regular voter's in tournaments, regardless of their vp. It says it right in the invitation PM you get when you join an official tournament held in the brackets. It's something we're going to change, but it has governed ALL official tournies over the past few years. I swear I will choke-slam the next person I hear complaining about "mod vp" again.

Who's to say all FVC members are fair voters? :D

Which ones do you think are not fair voters?

Hubert Cumberdale 09-12-2013 06:28 PM

This would be taken into consideration...had Ohs not EASILY been the worst voter of the entire tournament round.

This is not for me to decide. No one would know another persons voting strategy. People may scan through battles or people might not understand something and leave it. But that can be any voter so eh..

@Noble, how about the member formerly banned for hate voting?

Not really fam. Right now, me and you have the exact same vp (4). The vp is for anyone who is considered a longstanding good voter whether they are a mod, FVC member or neither. It would only be "mod vp" if you had to be a mod to have it or if mods had it only because they are mods. All current members of staff have it because they are fair voters, and that has always been one of our prerequisite considerations before selecting staff. Mods can and do raise people's vp to the same level when they see that they vote consciously consistently regardless of whether that person is in the FVC or not. This policy makes it so that anyone on the site can have an elevated vp. All they got to do is vote well.

Damn...I think I might have to change it from a choke-slam to a drop-kick while they're flying off the ropes. That was effing crazy!

@2FUEL.. has been proven to be a consistently knowledgeable voter. Which is why he has maintained a high vp.

*YAWN*... Some of you guys just love to moan. There isn't one unfair voter in the FVC. You guys keep bringing up @Anarchist but his voting is top notch.

Seconded, @Ohs you hate voted on my battles like a month ago so you complaining about voting is just ridiculous.

Just an opinion,no offence but i think there should be more FVC members.
For example, most of the current FVC members are inactive atm i.e. X-Cal and Grizzy. You guys should replace them with someone who is active and who has a good voting power.

But props to Noble and Illo though. The whole FVC thing is a dope idea.

The main deficiency in the FVC is the Audio side.

People moan about the FVC but most of you guys rely upon it heavily, I vote on a ridiculous amount of battles per month now I'm in. People just love to complain. I actually think most of the staff are doing a great job at the moment.

Yeah no doubt Illo is putting in a lot of work. I was just giving the suggestion that the FVC should actually include guys who are active cuz i see X-CAL and Griz are still considered a part of the FVC but they havent logged in since like the past 2 weeks. Thats really killing the voting activity.

The second part wasn't aimed at you.

I believe X-Cal is on holiday and Grizz is in hospital. So hopefully both will be back soon but I see what you're saying.

RULE 09-15-2013 10:09 AM

My VP should be 20 yo
