1-10 voting system.
 

I think that the 1-10 rating system when voting is absolutely fucking pointless. That being said, I believe that this is only the case when excluding the categorical voting system in which you're voting based on multiple categories. I believe that all battles should incorporate the multiple category voting system as the primary voting system for the site. As well as adding a character limit to the comment section explaining your vote.

If there was a character limit though, everyone that can get away with it would do the same old "Fv gb" shit.

Then those members should face consequences for abusing tools meant for their proper use.

IE: Having their voting power lowered so that those votes do not affect the outcome of the battle.

I also never do that multiple category thing. I give them the same ratings as I give them overall.

But you SHOULD. THATS WHAT ITS THERE FOR. To be used. As a tool for the site, and if used properly, one that further helps to establish a FAIR voting structure. Make the categories visible. The same way the 1-10 system is visible now.

If the categories were visible it's be a different matter. No one even looks at the shit on the profiles, and the rating is never visible again, so it's pointless for the time being.

Yes, as I said, make it visible. The 1-10 system is already visible, why not the same principle for the multiple categories? In making it the primary voting system, we then allow it to be visible, in order to replace the current 1-10 system. This, coupled with the character limit serves to not only to lead to a more productive, and useful rating system within the voting system, but better feedback for the site. I'd be all for a set of voting guidelines, also, which are needed to be met, or there will be an infraction, leading to a ban.
