what is your ideal FVC voter? voting improvements.

okay, from you battlers standpoint, vets, etc.. what would you like to see in an FVC member, other than the obvious.. and other ways to appoint fvc members..besides the normal application tourney.. keep in mind originally they were hand selected in the past.. from my understanding.. and lastly crappy, bullshit voting shouldnt, and wont be tolerated.. as well as ridiculous ratings....i do not want to inhibit voting in general because alot of battles get slept on, but at the same time, im always running across the same damn 'fv,gb,vb,...... etc..and ideally they shouldnt be allowed as a vote at all.. anyway, feel free to input your thoughts ,ideas, suggestions here..

One that knows what they are doing and does it actively, plain and simple.

As a recruiting process, I'd like to see it made somewhat competitive.

Take every current member out of the FVC. Then from there, recruit 5 active people. Make sure you see them voting. After that, make a thread where they HAVE to vote on all the battles you post. You can, from that, monitor how they are doing and how they are voting. Then, after the first month, recruit another 5, and have a maximum of 10. You have 10 good voters voting on the one battle at minimum, it's guarenteed to make a big impact. From there, if someone isn't pulling their weight or voting to your standards, cut them and replace them. Make 10 the maximum amount of people. That way, people won't want to lose their spots and have to keep voting at a high level to maintain their spot.

decent idea dave, although im not gonna cut the current roster, so far majority ofem are doin a good job keepin up wit the requests and expos.. but i plan to have more fvc members soon.

@Dave "Voting to your standerds" .. isn't voting like personal opinion? Idk, it's a good idea, but honesttly, I think good, detailed expos is great. It leads to improvement in some members, if they intake the feedback. It also proves why the voter voted the way they did.

Call it a stretch but Someone who is fair and knowledgable?

Call me cynical but it seems like a really silly question tbh.

There Should Just Be A Standard Within The System, Every Battle Should Have 2 FVC Votes In It, I Feel ALot Of These Vets Expect Everyone To Be On The Same Level Or Else They Dn't Even Bother To Vote. And That's Really Hurting LB, Aint No Vote Better Than The Ones Coming From The Top Dogs, We All Were Noobs...Garbage Or Not...It's More Of A Support System We Need...

ILLoKWENT 02-21-2013 11:41 AM

im thinking of tryin something different the next month .for new fvc..

Rounin 02-21-2013 05:13 PM

It's hard to have an 'ideal' FVC member because everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I mean I've seen it happen multiple times where two FVC members will vote on a battle and have different results. Now I see LB as a hub for elevation because even though we're rap battling we do it to get better, fuck ranks and fuck wins if I take a loss from a vet (will happen soon) and I learn something, Id rather do that knowing I tried my best and learn some shit. All that to say I think that a FVC member should be willing to help out beyond the battle just a few extra tips and advice if their in battle expo wasnt sufficient to the battler. Cuz I know it's happened to me where I ask people (FVC) for advice and they think they're too good for me or something cuz Ima noob. More feedback if deemed necessary.

This dude is a motherfucking genius. I love that idea. A standard. At least 2 -4 FVC members on a battle. That will be alot of work though and you might have to up your roster, but that seems like a plausible idea. I second it

a voter who is active most of the time is really important.

I HATE when people reply to these threads like SHIN did. Until you guys become actual coders, don't suggest coding solutions.

@whatever Silk is calling himself. I didnt say voting for who ILL thinks won, I said to his standards. Detailed explinations would be to a certain standard. If someone can have you agreeing with their opinions, or at least considering them, then that's a fair vote.

I don't think something like that MANDATES coding but I think as a kind of universally understood rule.......Well on the other hand something of that magnitude where EVERY battle HAD to have a FVC (2) on it. That would be extremely tedious both in coding and in actually voting. But you can't blame him, he's just making suggestions based on the gaps and flaws that he sees within the voting system. I don't think alot of people stop to think about the coding technicalities of it.

@Dave What The Fuck Does 2 FVC Votes A Battle And Vets Showing Love To The Noobs Gotta Do With Coding Dumbass? Please Explain....Oh U Must've Not Read The Comment And Only Saw "Support System"

Lol @ Two FVC Votes Per Battle, That's Ridiculous. You Guys Can't Be Happy Your Getting One Fair Vote?

Plus Imo. Why Ask Questions You Should Know The Answers To?

Battles end after 3 votes. How could you POSSIBLY enforce that 2 FVC vote on every battle without coding?
