y'all already know the deal... who's my replacement?

I'll reserve my recommendation until everyone's had their say.

Smoke em' if you got em... let's hear it though..

I'll drop the official decision on Monday.

I recommend either Dissizit or Enfinite.

My top two choices would be Dono and TalkSick. I highly doubt Dono wants to be a mod. If TalkSick is interested, I'd hope he gives some assurance about his activity level though.

Dono would hate to be a mod, we've discussed it a lot of times.

Final Word has shown a lot of commitment to the site. He's VERY active, online a lot and he's always bored, I think he'd put a lot of time and effort in if he was selected. He's also come a long way from his GS days.

TalkSick would be a good choice, but he's not as active as before.

Erupt wouldn't be a bad choice either, he may be an egotistical bastard but he's deff passionate about this stuff.

Don't think Enfinite has been round long enough.

Enfinite has been around since like 2008. This is only like his 98th account.

He denies that completely and says that he's only been around on year on no-namer accounts.

I also think he's quite biased and there's better people for the job. Just my opinion though, of course.

My recommendation would be for TalkSick to be honest.

TalkSick would be first choice but he's too inactive

tbh if there isn't a general consensus.... you guys wanna put the text mod on the back burner? maybe mod just c.... an see the deal... if talk gets active or someone else proves themself... modding 2 people out an already small ass group to pick from... if we don't agree why force it

To be honest. Do we really need a new Mod? We have such a great staff as it is. Obviously this is Rhet's choice, but it's not like we "lost" a mod, one of our great staff has moved up....so i don't really think we need a new staff person.

Talksick, most definitely. (if we need a new mod) Yes, 100% YES!!!

Finals a good kid but I'm not sure. Not trying to make this the be all and end all because it's the only thing I've seen him do that, now you bring him up, makes me think, ehhh. But he was saying some dumb shit on 1 of Phil's battles recently basically swaying because some other kid didn't vote for phil.

But other than that he's cool. I just don't get the feeling he's mod material. But he IS always online and it's not like he couldn't completely prove me wrong, fit right in, and do a really good job. I just don't see it. But I would rather take the risk on him & help him out over someone who already has the maturity & know how needed to mod but is never online.

And that brings me to TalkSick. I think he would make a great mod. Has the right attitude. Always approachable and level headed. But recently his activity has taken a dip. If I had to choose a month or 2 ago I would have said definitely but with him pretty much ghost compared to how active he used to be I don't think it would be wise.

Maybe you could hold out for a little bit longer and see if anything changes with his activity before bringing in someone. Like I think Fuel said in another post you don't really need another mod. You guys have really got things working over there despite a bit of a recent slump in activity, which I don't think will change because of a new mod. The site goes through up's and downs, it's how it's always been.

Don't really know Enfinite that well on a personal level, but I haven't seen him around as much recently. And I read another thread about so many people getting modded recently making the position lose it's prestige and worth. Bringing in someone like Enfinite will only add to that feeling were handing out mod spots to anyone. I get the feeling it wouldn't make any sense if they logged on 1 day to find him modded over a more established and proven member like say TalkSick. Grand Champ. Everyone gets along with him and has been here for years.

To summarise. Everyone mentioned has a negative that makes them less than ideal at the moment. Plus the text mods we do have, have everything under control and running smoothly. That's why I'm thinking it mught be best to wait a little longer..

Only other person I was thinking off was Fiji Osa. He's active and he takes this site seriously and I think he genuinely cares. But again he's got his Live Battle shit up n running so he prolly gonna be less active and he's a bit too emotional. Despite his good intentions I don't think he'd handle it well when tested by other members tryna get on his case talking shit.

That's my take on the situation.

I did consider suggesting Fiji, but then I remembered what he gets like when he doesn't get his own way, and probably couldn't be trusted with mod powers when it comes to be unbiased and fair.

Like Just said, we don't need a replacement unless there's somebody perfect for the job.

Rule was probably the most popular moderator ever, and nobody will replace him well enough to introduce them to the staff team. AT, Myself, and Rhet are the current text mods (I think) and Im pretty sure we got it covered for now.

Here's food for thought. Instead of increasing headcount. We do have the option to move someone from a specialty position to a Text position. i think @2FUEL would fit into this spot due to experience. Holler.

I know this is all your call, but for what it's worth I think that's a good idea. People probably think Fuels twiddling his thumbs since CT's got abolished. Good call.

Yea id say just move fuel to text mod since the ct's are gone.

FUEL to the text side sounds good.

I'm already a Text + Audio Mod lol. But if a green name makes you feel easy at night, holla.
