If anything it's the exact opposite. The queen is worthless these days. She dissolves parliament when parliament say she can, and she approves wars when parliament say she should. The monarchy is an outdated relic of tradition that has no place in modern society. Tourism alone doesn't justify the multi million pound weddings and jubilees and palace upkeep and staff etc.
