Serious Question (Everyone please answer) No games, no trolls.

Why do you not contribute plays and feedback to the track section ?

Some of you might not know it's there? *confused*

But I know that a lot of you have been here way too long for that to be a legit excuse.

So why?

I'm genuinely interested and confused.

Murderous Swag 10-18-2012 11:04 PM

The track section is at an all time low imo,I mean if you aint spamming 1000 profiles a week your not making it over 50 plays a week.I remember back when it was cake to get 80+ plays and thats without spamming tbh

Dean 10-18-2012 11:08 PM

Because most of lb is focused on text, and not even looking at audio or tracks.

RhetoriK 10-18-2012 11:08 PM

Theres a few I really check for but beyond that I've been dissappointed as hell. There was a time when I would feedback and follow up with whomever. Maybe 5% work with ther feedback and improve. This made me realize how long its been though. I'll get back on it. Examples are AfterThought and Dono.

Letum 10-18-2012 11:13 PM

check this one

Murderous Swag 10-18-2012 11:20 PM

How did i know a bitch ass nigga would link either his or his own crews track in here?

---------- Post added at 11:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:18 PM ----------

To keep it 100 though even text is dying a bit..............There was a time son that tourney battles were averaging about 20-25 a round. Now your lucky to get that out of an entire round of the brackets

---------- Post added at 11:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:20 PM ----------

And quit with that text audio segregation bullshit the slavery days are over nigga

Apollyon 10-18-2012 11:23 PM

I dont step foot on them grounds since im currently a text battle and i dont wanna hear people say im a text battler, i dont know what im talking about and more stupid shit if they dont like my feedback but if anyone hits me up for a listen then I'll do it.. Plus i hate giving 10s when people are undeserving but i would also hate hearing feedback on my ratings..

Murderous Swag 10-18-2012 11:26 PM

In all honesty if i link you a track.I dont want a free ten unless that bitch is deserved.I want my strong points and weak points put on blast so i know where i need to focus on.I can take critique with a grain of salt no matter how harsh tbh.I think that alot of people are scared to be honest on this site,In fear someone might come back with a rebellious rate to some of their shit.

Letum 10-18-2012 11:49 PM

exactly you don't know shit. piss off

Apollyon 10-18-2012 11:49 PM

I told this racist white dude the other day his bitch is Lisa Lampanelli in her prime cuz he tried selling me a half for 60 and it weighed out to a little over 11 grams.. He got pissed and sold the full 14 but said i wasnt welcome back in his house... Did i have a good insult??

RhetoriK 10-18-2012 11:50 PM

No disrespect. But lets keep it on topic mah dudes.

Letum 10-18-2012 11:50 PM

True - Truce ^

Murderous Swag 10-18-2012 11:55 PM

Fuck you and ya truce you hoe ass nigga. You letting another nigga randomly chime in and bully you?Getcha weight up

Louie Dawgs 10-18-2012 11:56 PM

Because I don't care about their tracks.

And I log on like twice a month.

Hammer on the nail.

Reason? Everyone use's the Text Lounge. people forget that there are so many other forums....Not just the advertiser but the actual user's....everyone uses the Text Lounge as the General Talk area when it isn't the case. lack of forum use results in lack of full site use which in turn results in less areas been seen to which in turn results in less feed back on things that should have feed back...etc...

...worst thing is people thinking/acting like if we (staff) offer up some sort of prize for them indulging in viewing/listening to a fellow members tracks/video as a reward has to go....this whole sort of...."What Do I Get For Listening To Your Track"..."What Do I Get For Voting On The Semi-final Battle Of The Tournament" type of mentality has to go. Along with the "Forum Battler Mentality"....every one quick to belittle someone else in the forums but wont actually battle. It's a shame that a site with such great areas for battling to take place has become a Forum Battle Site.....and not even battling with battle bars, no...battling with nonsensical bullshit words as if they were in the playground...like it's there last chance at being the popular kid, last chance at being the bully for once....a shame.

Apollyon 10-19-2012 12:39 AM

Nah cuz 1. dudes like 50 2. I've known him awhile 3. Hes cracked out and 4. that insult had him wanting to swing but he knew he would get hurt... Plus he wasnt gonna play me out some money cuz i know better then to trust a crack head and he lost out on some money since i bring in new customers all the time...

Revan 10-19-2012 03:05 AM

Everytime i leave feed on a track by someone ive never heard of, i usually end up with them bitching and moaning in my inbox for about 3 weeks.

Ive said it once, and i'll say it again. 90% of audio heads are delusional and childish. Thats why tracks and audio battles have gone south as of late.

1/

Phil Banks 10-19-2012 07:36 AM

I really try to listen to as much an rate as much as possible....usually dont check to see what people say bout my rates either so that helps

FreezyCT 10-19-2012 09:57 AM

because people are afraid of feedback...giving and getting it back...youre afraid to piss that person off, because heaven forbid that person go and retaliate with a hate vote - or shun you altogether...everyone here thinks they are gods gift to music - and ironically half of yall dont even step outside text battling

i hate to throw him under the bus, but when mods like RULE are removing honest feedback because the poster doesnt "agree" with it, its doesnt help...points to the mentality around this place, if you cry enough, youll get your way

what im going to start doing is taking these tracks that you all worship and blast them outside of your only stomping grounds...ill then post word-for-word feedback for these tracks so you all can get a real sense of how your music is impacting those around you

Fredo Lombardi 10-19-2012 09:58 AM

I rated and gave feedback to many tracks this year and last year. But I can speak on why so many people don't check them out mainly because of people pming members their song links and leaving visitor messeges then when you go on somebody elses page you see the exact same person leaving another link their thinking hell if they keep spamming people page this shit must be whack I aint fucking with it.

Brah brah brah bro bro bruv brah brah, I'm almost famous, if I could just get like 10 more people to peep this then.....

9? YO! That's a straight hate rating, oh my god you aint gotta listen to my shit ever again you fuckin asshole, fucking hate hater hater......

Anyway, bullshit aside, I only pass my tracks through a couple of the people I talk to on chat. The feedback in the track section is generally positively inflated to the point that it's absolutely unhelpful in improving. Dope/Garbage are not feedback and neither is a 1-10 point scale.

And everyone knows I never even vote, let alone rate tracks. :violent:

Mayneak 10-19-2012 01:47 PM

Here's what i think...I never really spoke out about it until now, read, don't read, I couldn't give two shits...but...

IMO, There are ALOT of reasons why people have become inactive & less involved in the site. I haven't really been active alot but when i was active, it was MUCH more than a forum web-site...The whole direction @Pugz is taking the site reeks nothing less than negativity & a prime example of how to turn something golden (Letsbeef) into something worthless & not "attractive" anymore. If you disagree, speak up.

Few examples: User titles, before, only people that got a custom title were Mods/Admins & Tournament winners. Now, all you have to do is qualify & its granted. I'm looking around here and im seeing members who dunno what a decent punchline is with titles like "Best ever" or some shit like that. I understand your mentality of the site been about the users but that shit shouldn't have escalated.

WAYYYYYYY too many tournaments, no joke but every time i log on there's a new tournament happening, Its like there needs to be a tournament to get some decent battles around here. Im not against getting involved in a tournament but with so many of them, they don;t seem prestigious anymore.

Constant rotation of staff: Pugz never said a word to me when he demoted me, which in itsself is a bad reflection on him and what this site means to him. Apart from Mindless, I was the longest serving staff member. Promised Admin powers, "be patient" was what i got x1000000 times and still nothing. Demoting Ticket & Just C was a bad move too. Nothing against RULE, the work he puts into the site coz he possibly puts in the most or him as an admin, he knows this, but out of the staff, he's one of the "recent" sign-ups to the site and he has admin control. Also the quick judgements to appoint staff members (Speechless & Attikus) is another bad reflection on the "ownership". Also the name colours is wack as hell lol.

Bugs/Glitches: I know how hard it is to get in contact with the right people to fix all the bugs regarding the site but shits gone on for too long. Last time i was in the Mod forum, there was a bugs/glitches list the length of a giraffes neck. Instead of bringing these new tournaments to the site, this should have been sorted a LONG time ago.

Mentality: Right now, Letsbeef IS a forum web-site, not even for getting battles popping, just the usual nonsense of talking complete bullshit. Look at the amount of audio people use it now (Ticket, Swag, Phil e.t.c...). Before you wouldn't get a single audio head in there lol.

Another big flaw with the track section, is people been WAYYYYY too generous with ratings & lack of good, genuine feedback. Its too easy to throw 10 on a track and say "great track, dopeness throughout 10". but real artists want real feedback/breakdowns. When Miqueas was active, he changed the site dramatically with the fair rules he introduced. Honesty is the best policy and all that jazz...obviously not on here.

As far as the tracks, alot of what i said coincides with why people don't use the track section or even bother logging in to Letsbeef...

I feel like im rambling now lol...I know i typed alot but i needed to get that out of the system...:high:

Ive always agreed that the usertitles should be revoked asap. Still think they dont bring anything to the site.

The tourney schedule has been majorly reduced for the second half of 2012 and the whole of 2013. Its been like 3 months since the last tourney, yet the current 16 man one still cannot draw more than 10+ votes a battle. I dont think the number of tourneys is an issue anymore.

Yeah the staff turnover has been unfortunate, and the audio side isnt brimming with great candidates either. As for the admin powers, its a shame you never got the chance to run with them, but i dont think im anywhere near underserving of them. and given the staff turnover im actually one of the longer serving mods now lol.

The bugs issue is one that should be improving very soon (no bullshit) X has literally just brought in some new programmers to deal with a number of the key issues we have. Time will tell on that score.

Deffly co-sign, we need more battling, less trolling!

The track rating issue is one that stems from the long time misuse of the rankings. I personnaly think a written numerical description on the track and cypher rating pages would help this big time. If you saw a decent yet unspectacular track with: "Yeah this was decent fam. - Mayneak 10 (Perfect)" it just reinforces the value of the rating.

Anyways figured you deserved a better response than just "co-sign" lol

Yeah that response was much better than a co-sign lol...I never said you were undeserving, if you re-read it you'll see im actually praising the work you've put into the site...Anybody who doesn't see that needs glasses lol...but yeah...Glad to hear they got some programmers but it'll never get back to the way it was unless theres massive changes & somebody brought in that can run the site a little better...Appreciate the response btw :high:

This all boils down to shitty ownership and straight neglect

We werent happy with FlyHipHop..dunno what was goin through niggas minds...they add user titles and expect us to believe its a whole new site?

Im sayin it now and i say it all the time...this site BEEN needed a facelift like 2 years ago

Aren't You An Admin Though? Take Em' Away! And Yeah Ironic Coming From A Guy Who Meticulously Planned Out His Own User Title But If Your Willing To Mass Revoke Everyone Except Staff And Tournament Winner I'm ALL For That.

I Think The Forum Tournament Are What He's Talking About, Plus There Was A Shitload Of Tournaments Last Year/First Half Of This Year. Forum Tournaments Are Gay Though Cause 99% Of The Time They Don't Pan Out Or You Get Fags Begging For A User Title Off One Of Them Lol No Hate To Who's Ever Gotten One Though (Well Most Of You) Just Saying...

It Was A Joke Really, Anybody Cause Of Seen Those Two As Undeserving As Soon As They Got Them (And Pugz Said Speechless Was A Kid So He'd Have More Free Time #smh Keyword: KID {No Hate Speech But You Know It's True}) Far As Admin Powers I Don't See The Big Deal, Sure Y'all Get To Give Titles And Change Boards But You Don't Really Get To Change Anything Technical. You Could PM Mindless And Be Like "Yo Bring In The New Exclusive" He'll Check With X Then Respond Something Like "We're Still Working On It..." Come On Y'all It's Been 3 Years Now Since FlyHipHop Flopped (Which I Beta Tested And It Was Better Then LB Now {Just People Were Lazy And Demanded This Site Instead [Way To Go Guys ]})

I Think VP Should Be Accounted For When They Rate A Track. Why Not? It's The Same As Hearing A Battle Verse But In Song Form. It's Like If You Can't Vote On An Audio Battle (I.E. You Have Zero VP Cause Your An Idiot) Why Is It Possible For You To Vote On A Track And Make A Difference?

We need more activity from a lot of the good cats. The open arena's are horrendous. And it's not even about whether the dudes are new or not. Hardly ANYBODY in the open arena's are elevating. It's the same whack box after whack box, to whack written acca after whack written acca. There are some dudes who come over to the forums, and then elevate up, but from what I see it's just lames all around in there and they stay at the same level. *Glares over at Snoopy and the DemiGodz* I feel like it's two different worlds at some points, the *Forum cats* and the *Open Arena Cats*. Just my two cents. I always read about how it was back in 06-08 where everyone was striving to get that top 10 spot. Now it's just a orgy of Lil B generation rappers.

Just my two cents. I always read about how it was back in 06-08 where everyone was striving to get that top 10 spot. Now it's just a orgy of Lil B generation rappers.

is that people posting opens faults, or the "forums cats" fault who battle 1 time every 2 months....*Open Arena Cats* are the ONLY PEOPLE THAT BATTLE ON THIS SITE!! everyone els gossips on the forums......my question is how are the people that battle frequently not getting better, and the people that battle less are somehow getting better? seems pretty bias knowing the saying "practice makes perfect"s 100000000000000000000000000 year history[COLOR="Silver"]

It isn't being biased. Most of the cats in the forums have already elevated to a good level. Whereas most of the dudes in the open arena just straight out battle because all the open arena dudes ride each others dicks hard. So they think they're super dope when in reality they're whack as fuck. And as for text battles, it's all on preference. Personally I'm down to do either or. It's just most people prefer going in on text then to drop an audio. Personally I say Audio > Text, I just haven't found the time to drop battles in the Audio arena. Hell, I haven't even found the time to get to the battles I have lined up already. I wish more cats would do writtens over a beat instead of ACCA. When it comes down to it, the site has been falling off for years now. No sense in arguing, we should be looking for a solution.
