Looking through votes, these two had VP lowered to 0 from 4

Why are they rocking 0's with a FVC title? I upped them to 1 for now, but was just curious what happened with them.

Do their titles need removed?

Ok.. I made a fvc usergroup.. just give me the names and i can put people in and it automatically gives them the title.. I went for this colour Fair Voters Club

Both were/are terrible voters.

They were chosen to be FVC by an over-zealous mod back in the day.

I think we need to be really careful when selecting people for this.... With all of us voting on who gets in to get a broader view on a person .... And people need to be more honest when voting... There was quite a few terrible voters got in last time.

@NOBLE really wants to tackle this project and he n I talked about some plans to tie in with it. Basically going to be an overhaul of the FVC system.

As for Osa n Xander, they aren't the only ones w bad voting. I'd remove their FVC titles if they don't deserve it.

I pretty much consider no one to be a current member of the FVC, so all the users with FVC titles can have them removed. I will start pasting their names in here as I find them. @UNKNOWN ARTIST I posted sign-ups for a V.A.T. style of competition to determine who will be members before I read your suggestion. Being perfectly honest, I am against hand-picking of members because it lends credibility to that whole "FVC are mod dick-riders" meme, and at the same time, FVC members have came to me about abuses from former FVC mods (not saying any names). I believe its best if the selection process is open and competitive. Let them duke it out, and the best voters will come out on top. We can set up a mod panel of judges to oversee the competition and determine the winners. As a matter of fact, I was going to ask you guys who would be interested in judging the competitions.

They been out of FVC as far as know Audiio FVC was justc and me.... i dont want a title. And really got no suggestions on who should be in it.

I also dont have any suggestions on who to put in, most of the honest voters are mods. Maybe come up with a minimum character button. To encourage actual feedback

Still feel like comments being hidden till after a person votes will encourage more detailed votes ... Voters are worried about unintentionally swaying ... Or being acused of swaying on purpose ... Especially in tournaments where people try hard to be unbiased to the point nothing gets mentioned at all

^^Yeah, i agree with that. Worth looking into, even over a period of time/trail basis. (if you're not feeling it).

My plan was to have the least performing members replaced periodically, like maybe every 6 weeks I will check their voting threads and find out who is least responding to theirs. Then we will hold another contest for people who still want to get in to replace them. I don't like the idea of people getting in the FVC and not actually voting, and FVC members will be made aware that they may lose their spot in this way.

@NOBLE lets not be So concerned on the rotation of duties & more on getting the right cadidates for the positions. Its one thing FVC members being active but the main thing needed is actual correct, educated, non-biased fair votes. As the members of the FVC in the past had only to make a thread wiith 5 links of "Good Voting" to get in, and most of that was them trying to look like they knew what they were on about, but hadn't a clue lol....

I agree. I never liked the whole "5 links of 'Good Voting' to get in" concept because someone can be a shitty voter and simply drop 5 well-explained votes just to get in. I think the process should be competitive, that's why I'm holding V.A.T. style tourneys to select who will be members. I'm confident that with the mod panel of judges over-seeing the competition, the best voters will come out on top. So far, I've had @Teek offer to oversee the text competition. I would ideally like 3 text mods for the text comp and 3 audio mods for the audio comp, so if any of you would like to be part of the selection process, feel free to step up.

I have reservations about his voting ability too tbh. But I allowed him to sign up because his vp is currently not at zero and he had been a member of both the text and audio FVC in the past. Him signing up does not guarantee automatic membership. He'd still have to prove himself to be a better voter than other people in the competition. You are welcomed to be on the mod panel of judges overseeing the audio FVC selection if you like @Phil Banks.

Fiji someone who tends to let his feelings get in the way on top of that he tends to vote weird I just have reservations bout him getting lots of VP...... specially he was the first one to want off when Just C killed it

I hear you bro. You're on the panel so I just need 2 more audio mods. Once the competitions are up, I'll let you know what's up so you can judge them. I would advise judging based on how they vote in the actual competition though as opposed to how they may have voted in the past. But at the end of the day, it will be yours and the other audio mod's call as far as who will become a member in the FVC.
I mentioned to @RULE and also to Just C before he was demodded (and both agreed) the idea of having people that qualify for only the audio FVC or only the text FVC having their vp's set at 3 rather than 4. If they qualify for both, they can then have it set at 4. The reason is that some people are good text voters but are not good audio voters and vice versa. If their vp is set at 3, its still elevated but it reduces the adverse effects their votes may cause if they go and vote on a battle format (audio or text) they're not that familiar with.

i'm down for Judging either Text or Audio fam & yeah this V.A.T. tourney ish is a good way to get the best voters in.

I'll put you down to judge the audio competition if that's cool. So far, we have @Teek and @RhetoriK™ who have volunteered to judge the text votes. We only need one more mod judge for the text side. @Phil Banks and @FUEL are both slated to judge the audio votes, so only one more mod judge is needed for the audio side as well!

Your problem @NOBLE is you ASK.

The first rule in getting people to do anything is tell them to do it. People have a harder time saying no to you telling them then if you ask.
