I guarantee you GoldenEye007 goes down as one of the greatest games ever. Why else would they remake it for PS3 & XBOX? The game was too epic! And half the games they make for Xbox are games that were previously on the 64. That just goes to show you that N64 is SHITTING on ALL consoles up to date--point proven.

They seemed better b/cuz the industry was newer and everything was a fresh idea.. there were hardly as many games to compare the new releases to... and almost all of the 'classics' were remade into better sequels as technology advanced. The oldschool game are no doubts classics & they were dope as fuck back in the day, but to say they're better then shit they have out now is waay the fuck off

Okay, compare this idea to the Star Wars series or the Friday series. Most people would say their favorite movie of them all was the first one, so, yeah, technology advanced but that doesn't necessarily make the xboxs or ps3s "better" systems. It just means they're more up-to-date and with the times. Yes, there are a mass of improvements and the graphics have enhanced but IMO N64 is crushing every console for the fact that it will always be known for it's classic games and games weren't as expensive as they are now days, along with the systems. Now, this is just my opinion, I knew people was going to disagree but trust me... I came prepared to support my argument, bra.

When he says best console, I don't think he's trying to compare N64 with current consoles. He's just saying that "for it's time," he feels N64 was the most innovative system. Of course today's games are going to be "better" by every standard, but I believe he is trying to debate what system felt the most superior during its own time frame. I personally think I enjoyed SNES the most.

There's no way to accurately compare a NES with a Wii, or a Turbo Grafix 16 with an Xbox 360 without considering the time frames. Otherwise, it's quite obvious that the newest/most innovative consoles will always be on top. This wasn't the intended question. I'm not tryin' to argue, just tryin' to help the OP out.

idk about sega dreamcast i never owned one.... first system was a sega genesis...ahh....good times good times back in the 90's but of course thats when i was a kid i hooked it back up for nostalgic purposes like last year and the game sounds and graphics were so corny i couldn't take it!... because i have been spoiled by xbox 360 and ps3 for a few years so yeah....we all grow up eventually zak lol

No shit.. they're all epic games tbh. The game I was trying to remember that was on the Dreamcast and in arcades was The House of The Dead game. I used to LOVE that shit especially when I had somebody to play the game with. And Dead or Alive was pretty dope too even though I've only played the demo version.

I mean, bringing back these consoles is just something to talk about. Obviously, the newer systems are better than the older ones but we can't deny the fact that these consoles were KILLER back in the day and I wouldn't mind owning a Dreamcast or, in @Student 's words, having a N64 at a party and getting down on GoldenEye or some Mario Kart.

I play retro games with emulators when I get in a mood because there's a lot of older games that are still fun to replay. On newer systems, very few games make me want to sit through them a 2nd-3rd time after I've beaten it.

yea i got emulators 2, i got snes, sega, n64, and dreamcast... really tha only games i play on dreamcast are Shenmue, Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventures, and Marvel vs Capcom 2... Dreamcast was a good concept, i used to take tha memory card out ov tha control and play that shyt at skool to raise levels on side shyt till i got home, that wuz a dope feature... N64 was good tho, with mortal kombat trilogy, mario 64, conquors bad fur day, 007, killer instinct, etc.

Dreamcast, Master System, Megadrive, Nes, Snes, N64, Game Cube. I loved em all.
