The vast ocean is forever, an endless expanse
But I've done everything, there's no more advance
I'm tired, the daily routine takes too much effort
I've lived so very long, that doesn't take an expert
So how can it be that I've come to humanity?
You must think this an act of pure insanity
But I've encountered plenty boats and sailors
As I watched groggily, took notes of failures
They marvel at norms till they're gargled in storms
Or sometimes they see me and ogle in swarms
Viewed before, they called me an excellent specimen
I'm extra large, able to wrestle with the best of men
They'd often yell out, then throw down nets and harpoons
I'd have to destroy their boats just to get the buffoons
Being around this long? Not much gets you aggravated
A monster like me will sit serene, not animated
Happened enough lately though to make me agitated
Followed the next ship to new waters and acclimated
On arrival I found an easy target floating
Teeth gnashed, breathe fast, gave the water a scarlet coating
Waited days, there was no response, I made another round
You all suffer now, I took the son of a mother down
Heard the way these people respond to the slaughter.....wow
They yell 'shark attack, get out of the water now!'
But still nothing, no real retaliation in sight
All I've done is gain a reputation of might
Because of the incidents I'm getting growing fame
But really I could care less if people know my name
I understand perfectly what'll happen when I'm caught
You might think I'm upset and afraid? Well I'm not
I'm done, I'd like to end in a blaze of glory
Rip people to fleshy bits and leave their faces gory
Bash and lash, crash and smash, until I'm right to the breath
Where I cease living, a worthy fight to the death
It's not often you find a beast that hopes to die
But that's why I approach the beach mouth open wide
As I close in on another of my constant victims
I hope to make the time of my final conflict quicken
