I gotta' say it's Chance The Rapper. Dude's fucking whack, this ain't on no hater tip. I actually gave him a good hour of my time an' decided to take in some of his songs and I ain't impressed, like, even these new trap artists got a good little vibe to their songs, but this dude is flat out shit.

Who do you think is overrated? ...& autotune isn't a reason to hate on a dude, for those planning to name anyone due to that reason lmaooo @2FUEL i'm talking to you. xD.

lil yachty is garbage. i never liked 50 cent or snoop or any of those cats. idk. most radio rappers are garbage to me.

Give "Get Rich Or Die Trying" a proper listen through, it should change your mind. (assuming you ain't listened to it in a while) that album bangs.

To answer your question the most over rated artist imo (I’ll keep it in the same genre)

Are like the Yachty’s the Uzi’s, the Mustards, the Post Malone’s..

As a Rap fanatic to me they are overrated.
As a business man ii respect their management’s
Genius, but really with a couple million dollars and a smart manager any performing artist can hit the billboard 100 at least once

I think Snoop & 50 are dope, but yeah, I still believe Chance is whack.

In terms of Yachty, I agree he's whack, he did have a couple of good songs, but not enough to boost him to the stardom he's achieved. Lil Uzi I think is decent, but I say that placing him in the same category as the rest of the new guys, I don't dislike new rap, but I can easily say the old shit was more fire.

The group that helped bridge me into liking the new shit is A$AP Mob. When they first popped the shit they came out with was FIRE, even to old school standards, imo.

Mustard is a producer, so like, I don't really count him in this debate, but yeah, any performing artist can hit billboard 100 because they don't need to be lyrically potent.

Imho, producers / engineers are the real reason why a lot of these new cats are popping, since everything is focused so hard on effects these days the engineers really don't get enough credit.

He ain’t in my top 10 fav’s but can’t deny like an actual artist with his own sound.

Do you have any proof of 50 Cent only writing 2 songs? He's credited as a writer on all of the songs.

Also just because a rapper is spitting conscious rap, doesn't make him dope, I know it may seem like that in this pool of rappers spitting about nothing, but if you put chance in the middle of the 90's, the dude's getting eaten. To say he ghost-writes for Kanye, isn't really a point, because Kanye been on a downwards slope this entire decade.

I see what you mean though, I don't disagree with you entirely, but I don't like Uzi for his lyrics, I like him for the vibes, shit to blast in the car when you on the way to a party, etc.
