Are Russia targeting U.S. digital infrastructure?

Every country, the US included, tries to hack and gain digital information. Even from allies.
Is Russia "targeting" US digital infrastructure? Thats pretty fuckin vague. Do you mean, gathering Intel or attacking it? Everyone, gathers Intel and spies on each other. That's normal. And I seriously doubt Russia's targeting the digital infrastructure. Because it would be quite easy for them to shut down sites and interfere with it in various ways. But we don't see that. The whole Russian thing is partisan politics and war mongers trying to make a buck. |

I could be wrong.
As far as I'm loosely aware--Russia, under Putin especially, isn't exactly pro-democracy and they've been trying to devaluate it's legitimacy for a while through smaller scale operations like the ones you see on the internet targeting politics (i.e. Trump, Net Neutrality, etc.). They've been significantly more successful with Trump in the oval office. If you haven't been keeping tabs on Mueller's investigation it definitely is starting to look fishy toward the whole "Trump-Russia" collusion thing. My bet is Trump is all doe, no dome and Putin made friends to help him succeed so he'd inevitably lead the the free world like the moron he is. Putin has his hands in a lot of pots they probably share i.e. real estate, oil, etc. Panama Papers, etc. making him a pretty easy target. |

Russia has not been successful with Trump in office. Thats just based off pure bullshit. Furthermore, collusion isn't a crime. Nor is there any proof Trump colluded with Russia. The internet colluded against Hillary. Because she's corrupt af. Basically, your entire comment is utter nonsense you can't prove. ---------- Post added at 05:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:51 PM ---------- Quote:

Yea, the economy in Russia is better than under Yeltsin, but a vast majority of that is related to oil prices and demand for Russian oil. The president/ruler of Russia has little to do with it. In fact, the way that Putin has guided the economy away from free market principles has actually stunted the growth of the Russian economy. Human rights are worse in Russia under Putin than Yeltsin. The Russian Orthodox church is basically just another Putin propaganda unit. BTW, religion is typically antithetical to the expansion of freedom and human rights. In terms of it's institutions and in terms of freedom Russia has done nothing but go backwards under Putin. Once the going stops getting good for Russian oil, it's going to be a fucking hellhole again. |
