I think thats good enough

Coming from a guy with words under his name, I don't think having words under your name is all that big of an accomplishment.

Namely I've faced Mind Fuck (W), Black Book (W), Mikey DeNiro (L), Rican (L), TalkSick (W), EJT (W), Huey Jazz (W), AfterThought (W), reEFer (L), Phroxen (W), SandMan (L), Frankie Clipz (L), Erupt (L), Rhetorik (W), Dissizit (W), Krhyme Killz (W), GRizzEAT (W), Meta4 (W), AmbitiousFlow (L), Catharsis (W)... So that's 3 out of 5 GCs beaten.

Anyone I'd regard as an impressive opponent, let alone notable, and yes: There are losses - but the fact that you should go and face some challenge is enough to give that battler some character.

I'm pointing out all the false praise that goes around here. It ain't constructive in the slightest. I'm simply saying that Bleu needs to step up a level and try his metal. He hasn't challenged himself. So it's YOU that's getting your panties in a twist for overreacting to some real fucking knowledge dropping.

I practice what I preach, stop trying to play the justice warrior.

You want to go high level opponents for high level opponents, I've faced 15 of the guys you mentioned along with the likes of Rain, Illimit, Coree, UA, Mayneak, Olde etc.

That doesn't change anything to me. My best wins are when I was rising the ranks and defeated the other rivals making their way up. No one's coming in saying Bleu is better than UA or DaDDiO or whatever. Winning this many battles, in both formats, with some wins over some close up and coming rivals, IS a pretty commedable thing, and everyone's just doing exactly that.

Good stuff Bleu.. Showin these fools how to do it i see. Your encouraging a lot of members imo.

ILLoKWENT 05-10-2014 07:14 AM

Werd.. dont get it twisted yall... this is a thread highlighting a specific accomplishment.. this aint about who had more high tier quality opponents during the streak. Even then bleu still took on decent opponents in both audio and text and still managed to remain unbeaten..dudes putting in work and giving LB activity.. lets keep it as that..

but nah i dont disagree with anything thats been said its all facts. i've been challenging heavy's tho.. & i battled dissizit in the GC he just won.. lost but still put up a fight & that was me just returning to text battling (something I was never really heavy on)

I'm just saying that you've gotten too comfortable with those flames. I think it's time you focused on only the heavier opponents. I'm just saying, looking at your body of work in the text arena - I don't see anyone I'd consider a hard hitter. And you're fully capable of that but you'll never find out if you don't take the plunge.

I don't think it's as commendable as you lot are making it out to be. It's somewhat an achievement in the sense that it takes a lot of consistency and quantity of material but I don't see any challenge in Bleu's journey.

Beating rivals is one thing but establishing yourself as a bigger fish by taking down a few giants is the only way you elevate your status.

And I know you've faced a few vets but this is about Bleu. He hasn't yet created an array of big wins. He simply has a streak of decent wins.

To me, LB has always been about steps.

First, you battle active as fuck against anyone. 5 Battles a day kind of stuff.

Then, you rise the ranks and defeat everyone at your "weight class".

And last, you go after the big names and become one yourself.

In this streak, Bleu has taken out ROTY winner Obey, GC finalist Lockhart and 'long undefeated streak' Subreal, all 3 are considered to be high level guys in the 'Middleweight Division'.

Just because he's getting some respect for something, doesn't mean the site is all dickriding the guy and saying he's the greatest ever. Bleu is quickly establishing himself as more than a Middleweight, and he's going about it in the right way by taking on all the other guys ranked around him.

As for the streak, the guy likes to battle and puts out as many as he can. I'm sure all of us wish we had that drive.

I guess that makes sense
