It was a few clicks in the ACP to remove it. That's still more effort than I would have liked to have made over something so fucking retarded but that's what it came down to because some faggots decided to start an argument over it and I wanted to stop that argument. I know you're all "Mindless is on some bullshit over there removing the emoticon so I'm gonna prove him wrong." but you're not seeing the big picture. You're looking at this one thing and not seeing where it's going and I'm trying to do something good for the welfare of this board and the site in general.

Here's what you guys don't get. Up until this place LB has been pretty much free of the "race debates" bullshit. It got brought up once in a while but it was always talked about tactfully and never got too far out of hand or spread outside the thread that it was in. We've always been good about joking with one another on the subject and not getting real salty about it too. Proof of that is that just about every thread I pop into turns into a string of Jew jokes and I'm okay with that. I've seen hispanic jokes, black jokes, white jokes and everyone's always been cool. I removed the monkey because someone decided to get sand in their pussy about some other shit and claim that that emoticon was something else. I got rid of it before that shit could spread out, and it would have, but now this Pandora's box has been opened and a carcinogen has been injected into these boards. I've seen a few posts of this shit already in this thread and I know exactly where it's headed. I don't want that shit here. I have to deal with it elsewhere but I don't want to deal with it in the one place that's always been free of it. You guys wanna keep arguing this bullshit but all you're doing is spreading the cancer. I did my best to contain it by merging the three threads (ABOUT A FUCKING EMOTICON). I'm asking nicely now that you guys knock this shit off and just go about your business like before and forget about that stupid fucking monkey. If you just HAVE to use it than img tag it in. I don't care, but it's not going back in the list no matter how much you guys argue about it.

Right now I'm just containing this cancer and keeping it from spreading in the hopes that it will go into remission on it's own. The next step is chemo.

tl;dr I'm not putting it back so you can stop arguing about it now. If you have a problem with that then you can take it up with the guy who decided to ruin it for everyone by telling him what an asshole he is. Also, let's not make this place like other places where every other thread is a race debate because honestly, at that point, I'm not even going to want to be here anymore.

Nice reach. The DPS Split wasnt based on this whole situation though. A lot of people would like to take credit for it but it was a seperate descision all together. You might as Punk as to why DPS split because he's just about the only person to ask literally.

In relation to the emoticon.. I remember escalating a thread based on how somebody reacted when I asked them to chill on it without bias to whom was involved. And that person didnt have anything to do with DPS. I did my job as a mod and addressed it. How people react to it is really their descision.

I appreciate the invested interest though.
