Do you know what's great about science? Testability. If you don't like a conclusion you can test it yourself. Science is by far the hardest discipline to falsify.

You have a very small understanding of science and the way scientific theory works. First off,e do understand how the earth was formed. we have an outstanding understanding of the physics of planet formation and whatnot. We don't have a great understanding of physics at the big bang, but that will come soon enough.
Also, scientific theory is a way to describe fact. For example, evolution is a fact. We have the fossil records and the understanding of biology to state that it happened. the theory of evolution is just how we think it came about. For another example, there is gravity. Gravity is a fact. We see it everyday. The theory if gravity is how we describe and understand something that is fact. Go back to middle school.

Why does it have to be a higher power? the idea that if you accept that there is a progenitor of existence then God or a higher power must exist does not follow. |
