I think killing is fundamentally wrong and violates the human moral code on it's most base levels.
That said, I probably wouldn't call the cops. (Obviously it depends on the situation) Here's why.
While I think that killing is wrong, there are many reasons why killing could be acceptable. The guy is strapped with dynamite. The guy kills and cannibalizes others. The guy has the neighbors daughter in a rape dungeon somewhere.
There is a chance that the neighbor is doing something justified and right.
That said, if I call in the murder, take the stand and tell the truth?? That shit is probably 100% open and shut life in prison (if not more) no questions asked. Did he do it for a good reason?? A bad reason?? Who the fuck knows, the law is pretty explicit on killing somebody.
Calling the cops in this situation is pretty much the equivalent of locking him up and throwing away the key. I don't think I'd be ready to do that to another man without first knowing whats up.
