Offical tourneys on the brackets = Grand Champion.

Always has been, always will be.

And lemme add that mods openly bitching over such stupid things is beyond ridiculous, thats why we have a staff forum.

Y'all take this shit too seriously and dont think im riding cuz im one of the 7 people who have actually won a legit Grand Championship lol.

My last post here, staff forum if y'all wanna continue.

Like there aint more pressing issues... like Macc's pending ban  lol.

^Dis is nuff sed for real^ The GC has always been around and to change the name would honestly be 100% idiotic. UA, DADDIO, MACC, and RULE all earned their titles and it would be disrespectful to them to change the name or take away their title just because it's a new generation of emcees with different styles--if that makes any sense. Now, I'm not a Mod, by any means, so, I'm sure my opinion doesn't matter but RULE's comment makes complete sense. Changing the name of the title would be like changing the Heisman to the Newton (Cam Newton) or the BUSH (Reggie Bush)... Yall get what I'm tryna say.

KEEP EVERYTHING THE WAY IT IS...THERE'S NO NEED FOR ANY CHANGES IMO--JUST ADDITIONS! ;)

The Grand Champion Tournaments are for the Top 64 people in the qualifying month before the event.

Or have people forgotten that?

U need to do some research.

No I don't.

I don't know why your finding it so hard to come to terms with the common sense I'm bringing to you. If you don't want to change the titles fine. But don't act like I'm wrong cause history dictates other wise. The many other battle sites dictate other wise. You name a tournament something you name the winner the champ of the tourneys titlled.

Revan 04-10-2012 12:30 PM

Fuck other sites, this is Letsbeef.

& How is All Star Tournament any different to a Basic Text Tournament?

Quit whining, theres plenty of things that are whine-worthy on this site lol.

Most people couldn't be bothered with a warm up and just waited till September so you end up with a weak tournament and a year and a half wait till the next one comes around

I agree yes, but it hadn't already started until after i was told it would be official. I pm'd everybody and let everybody know that it WAS the official tournament and the line up was already very strong. The reason it was original a warm-up tournament is because at the time I wasn't topical mod, RULE suggested me as topical moderator after i had first instigated the tournament and then I had the discussion with May and RULE about it being official. RULE agreed instantly, and my conversation with Mayneak has been posted.

@RULE i don't know why it got bought up again either lmao.. i logged on and saw this thread and as you can probably imagine.. it quite annoyed me. My points proven now, the tournament is official and is getting the official title, it's all been confirmed so i have no idea why i'm needing to explain myself

Well if people actually fucking listened to the TITLE mod, there wouldn't be these problems... now would there??? :high:

The Cryptanalyst 04-10-2012 12:59 PM

^Not necessarily^ ... Let's take the Rose Bowl or the Orange Bowl into consideration ... They may be playing in what's hosted as "The Rose Bowl" but the winners aren't necessarily the Rose Bowl Champions--they're NATIONAL CHAMPIONS or the winners of the Rose Bowl! In this case, say the name of the tournament hosted is called the "Bodybag Tourney" but it's the only tourney hosted for the whole year (consisting of the top 64 emcees).

GRAND means distinguished/considerably large, so, with that being said, the winner of the tourney would be considered "THE GRAND/distinguished CHAMPION" for the fact that it's the main tournament on LB--or you can say the winner of the "Bodybag Tourney"... Now, which sounds better to you???...

This comment was intended for @justC.

Who gives a fuck about the title mod? I mean... he tells the people who can actually put the title's in place what to do. That's about it tbh.

LMAO i'm just clowning 2FUEL. I know we discussed the original title before I was topical mod.. but becoming topical mod gave me the right to host an official tournament, rule approved i did it now as i won't have any time in september. And as you can see Admin (at the time) approved the title.. It wasn't a hate thing or disrespecting your authority at all... I just didn't feel as if it was your say whether my tournament was official or not, especially the bias which was lying around at the time due to our hate for each other. I'm sure you can understand that.. @2fuel
