This is the only thing that really requires a response. We genuinely didn't "bring in the bannermen". The plan for me, when I returned to the crew and started pushing for crew battles, was for us to go on a tour beating everyone. To do this, I brought back in some of ACs original and better members. As a team, I planned on us getting some battles in with everyone. They weren't brought in for a specific crew battle, but all future crew battles.
However, the voting thing came back once again (just like it did when ACs was at it's absolute best). People left over the lack of available votes on the site. ILLoKWENT, someone who joined ACs in just it's second day, and Rai who was brought in as a cool guy and someone who had a future to go far in the site, both left over voting on the site.
After that, I felt we started to lose a little bit of depth. Bape being a pussy and Saiyan ducking battles meant we lost a little bit of our shallow level depth. We didn't have the numbers and lost some of our firepower. We could recruit more big names, but there wasn't really any top guys I felt would gel with us. I pretty much went inactive and I presume Seul got a bit sick of sitting around inactively.
We brought people in for all crew battles, not to battle Apoc (that being said did we even have anyone other than ILLoKWENT that was in ACs before I returned involved in that battle?).
I just wanted to make that clear. I fucking hate when crews pull that shit.
Agree about individuals. I put that on me. ACs was always a group of individuals, but I kind of meshed it together by interacting with everyone and getting them active in each other's battles and in threads. Now that I'm not into it like I used to be, I didn't really push that aspect and felt that the focus on crew battles didn't require a united front, just firepower. |
