I'd have liked to see Wilshere,Gerrard/Jordie,Ross (LW),Sterling(RW) and Rooney (AM) in the midfield tbh.
As you said Gerrard and Henderson are two deep lying playmakers. You can't have Gerrard go up front cause he gets caught up there. Ross is stronger than Welbeck more athletic can pressure up and as a United Supporter I honestly think he's a much better technician than Welbeck. Welbeck also tends to cut in the box leaving the left side only for Baines to cover. Baines was up and down like crazy today. A natural left winger was needed to have better link up on the left side. You know Everton-Everton Player...Just like you had Johnson and Sterling on the right Wilshere could have gone box to box or as an advanced playmaker allowing rooney to get closer to the goal W.e no point getting into it. Unfortunately the result won't change. Let's hope Italy can pull the 3/3 |
Yeah. I'm fed up thinking about it myself.

You cheer for England. Don't expect any better.

Of having fun. Seriously. They seem to be hardwired to show all sorts of bullshit "determination" and pretend like every cap is the biggest match of their life. They play timid and fail to express themselves because doing so somehow fails to match the English "style" of shitty, boring football. Serious, the players need to learn to enjoy themselves out there, every time they cut to an English player it looks like his mom died. Cut out the serious crap and remember that it's a game, England always has the quality for at least some success, but never the mentality. |
^The second part. The reason there is so much creativity in teams like Spain, Netherlands, Brazil etc. is because they go out with the sole purpose of having fun and trying to show off a bit.
Germany's a different kettle of fish all together though. |
England's problem is there's no "gel" between the players. Been like that for a good few years now.
Great fucking players...with their Prem-teams, but together it's a diff story. |

I see players Read: Oscar/Neymar attempting ball tricks on the pitch that an English player would never even think of..If a Brazilian pulls it off everybody is impressed, if he fails he tries again next time. If an English player attempts a trick and fails he gets screamed at by his mates, blasted on the TV, and substituted next time there's a stoppage. English football just has the wrong mentality. |
The fear stems from them being kept n such a tight leash.
Don't say this. don't say that. They have PR managers and shit micro managing them. "when u talk about argentina dn't mention the falklands" Like any of them would have? Lol. That was a legit PR thing. Lists on the wall with guidlines. Just fuck off and let them be themselves. It's suffocating |
