a quick story... my ex girlfriend, before i met her, used to live across the hall from from a criminal. drugs, violence...whatever. he saw her see him beat a woman up, and she called the police. he was booked and charged. days later, a molotov cocktail gets thrown through my ex-girlfriend window...this is is 100% true shit...and believe it or not..it happens FREQUENTLY in bmore...in fact bmore is where the STOP SNITCHING campaign began. that being said, i would hope that the fear of retaliation wouldnt deter me from letting my conscience guide me...but in alot of urban areas..there's an unspoken code to shit. when i used to be on my porch smoking weed...if kids were outside playing..i would ash out. why? because if my fucking kids outside playing, you better ash out too. If you dont...i'm not calling the cops...i'll just let you know not to do that around my kids. if you dont listen..then it'd be ME that enforces it. it sounds barbaric and shit, but in alot of communities, people collectively police themselves. |
I don't think ya Ex snitched. At least going from your post she didn't. She was selflessly looking out for her fellow woman.
Also people who get caught need to look at themselves rather than whoever phoned the police more often. If I'm selling drugs and my neighbours phoning the police on me. Then I obviously aint do enough to keep it low key. This is why I always go by the rule that "If it doesn't benefit me then you don't need to know" it's just another set of ears and eyes and another mouth to blab. |
@ Jason....
its crazy because everything you are saying is 100% right man, but (and i'm not necessarily speaking for me) MOST people probably wouldnt call the police seeing that kid walk out with bruises. in fact...that's why scumbags get a way with shit like that. involving kids in the scenarios changes things only because we as a society MUST protect the kids.. in the same scenario, if a grown woman walked out with bruises...would you still cal the cops? (and no...they arent from some s&m shit lol) ---------- Post added at 04:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:11 PM ---------- Quote:
there's a story about a dude in the Bronx that stepped in when a man was beating his gf in the subway. the dude pulled out a gun and shot him. now this kid is in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, and that bitch is probably STILL with that dude, getting her ass whooped daily. what did that kid's efforts get him but in a wheelchair? |
I'm not debating whether or not her decision was wise or a little foolish. I think we're getting away from the subject at hand.

Im too real to squeal.

lol at shooting the paperboy in the face
yeah...i think the OP situation is really a gut feeling... but as far as the woman beating situation...confident women can get beat too lol... idk...with women getting beat....i feel like it'd take alot for me to step in. so many times these women are just dysfunctional and you are just risking your health helping them. i will say if it got out of hand like the woman was being beat senseless i'd step in |
Tbh you're just asking for trouble the moment you step in between a fighting couple. It's really not un common for both of them to flip on you. lol

true shit... i actually kinda followed this case...so the main witness....Trayvonn's friend...she did damn near everything she could to AVOID being a witness for the very reason you see those people with the 'stop snitching' shit. she didnt want to be a part of it...even as a friend..she would rather play the sidelines. i think alot of the outrage surrounding this particular case came from the lack of police investigation, and the incapacity of the local judicial system to adjudicate this situation with any effectiveness...i mean it took Sharpton and those dudes to even get charges filed. Not to mention the evidence was nearly entirely circumstantial, so there wasnt really that 'eye witness' that saw how everything unfolded. so i think that the 'anti snitch' folks get frustrated because whether you rely or believe in the system or not..it should still work. its like taxes...i hate taxes...and if i chose not to pay them...i would still be pissed if someone who did pay them wasnt getting the services that the taxes are used to pay for them. but its even worse when not only does that system NOT work for some..it OVERLY works for others...meaning that some parts of the population are OVER searched, OVER charged, and OVER sentenced. in the end, no, there wasnt riots, but i there were some peaceful sit ins and a little bit of political momentum... plus anyone threatening to riot over Trayvon just doesnt get it anyway..and are likely the same kids talking about GTA 5 causing 9/11 because the illuminati have time machines n shit lol |
i pretty much feel tha same way kryhme feels, i fuckin hate the police...with that said i'm a huge believer in shuttin tha fuck up when it doesn't concern you...sad thing is, i kinda know im desensitized to alot of shit(not sayin it makes it right)...as far as ya neighbors shit endin up in your house...i live in an apartment complex infested wit crackheads and streetwalkers and have lived in way worse environments....last thing im worried about is catchin a case for one of my neighbors issues, real shit. you'd have to be pretty stupid or a peon to let somebody else shit be in your possesion

Why the fuck would you want that on your conscience for a ''neighbor''.. Damn right I'm calling, dude's probably a psycho.
