The site is old and probably at its worst point in terms of activity

Banning people that ask for votes on an old, inactive, website is like pulling a gun to someone's head & telling them to drive a car after YOU removed the wheels

Well..According to the Text FVC forum... There's only 6 text FVC members. And theres alot of battles closing with less than 6 votes... And getting FVC vote depends on when they see your battle link...its a wait and see game... Thats why ppl are IM'n for votes... ppl can spam our profiles and IMs with "Listen to my track" without any infractions which happens WAYYY more than asking to peep my battles does and is more annoying..and its not like their track is going anywhere... But asking for votes on battles that have a 3day window gets u banned? Either that rule needs to get dropped or throw in a new battle option that lets u choose your day to close... 3 days, 5, a wk..

Because voting on a track doesn't decide a winner/loser since it isn't competitive. You can't have people asking for votes in private.

I think its perfectly fine to ask for votes as long as you aren't somehow encouraging or influencing someone to vote for you

I, for one, just make threads

I'm sure if I ask for a fair vote in IM I'll get some. & Just because the vote is in my favor doesn't mean I asked to get voted for...it'd just work out like that most of the time because most of the time I'm winning so I deserve the vote

I just dont see the prob with advertising your battle in private just as ppl do with their tracks... we all recognize the struggle to get votes... And its contributing to the decrease in activity and quality of battlea...Cant punish ppl for IMn for votes if your not gonna offer a better solution and currently The fvc is not a better solution.. It could be though ...but its just not..
