I'd be down for this for Audio. I agree that it shouldn't be set topics. The more freedom the better.

If you decide on topics count me out. There's a couple projects I've been wanting to work on in the near future and that's my priority.
There's lots of cussing in spoken word. And you CAN hold a rhyme scheme you just don't have to. I structure my spoken word stuff exactly like I write my topicals, just change the style. Instead of story-telling it's more of message sending and more personal instead of detached. ---------- Post added at 10:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:11 AM ---------- That's what got me $500 (plus support from people) |

Yeah, I never said you couldnt hold one, i just said its not done often.
I personally prefer when its not, to have the ability to write in that format yet hold the crowds attention is more difficult imo. |
oh na i had typed that wrong..aint mean to say it as a flat out rule..meant more so like a self challenge

I dont want peeps to take this as some sort of topical competition, if you dont know what spoken word is look it up, this isnt about rhyming, its about your way with words. peep the two joints i dropped in here on the first page. this isnt an audio topical competition, this is spoken word. theres a difference nahmean.
