i really don't think Common would beat Drake lyrically

alot of ya'll think this poetic-ness & softness that Common has makes him a great lyricist. Not at all. he's a good orator though. he knows how to make music that speaks to you

but again, making music that speaks to you has nothing to do with how good of a lyricist you are

nah. commons better when it comes to lyrics. not by a landslide. but hes better.

has nothing to do with poeticness. his rhyme skemes, multis, lyrics in general are better.
