Unfortunately I have had some experience with this kind of situation. The trick is to retaliate in a less strong manner than they hit you, so you still get the message across that you are not going to hurt them or use 100% strength because if you did they would actually be hurt and lose.
IN OTHER WORDS, they punch you ... you slap them back (not as hard as they hit you obviously, because some girls hit really hard). They should know that you could have knocked them out, but instead controlled yourself (as a man in that situation should) to make a point that their initial behavior was unacceptable and would not be tolerated.

I disagree entirely man, really ignorant post here. Violence is violence, slap, spit, woman, man, trans, it's the same crime, equal punishment. If you and your woman got into a dispute, she punched you, and you ''slap her, BUT not as hard as you can to show her you COULD HAVE knocked her out'', she could still call the police and claim that you were violent, and YOU will be the one going down for domestic violence. IMO, you make a decision, be a little pussy bitch and let people hit you, or you stand up for yourself, regardless of gender, pull an LL COOL J and tell'em your momma said to knock'em out lol. But here's my take on it:-
A woman that hits a man is using an advantage. She believes the man CAN'T hit her back. This advantage, imo, is just the same as the advantage in strength between a man and a woman. If the woman hits first, it's fair game for the guy to hit her back (palm slap style).

Listen dummy, though it's unlikely to take someone's life with a punch, especially when the woman is probably significantly weaker than you, it's still possible she could cause damage or kill you with just the right lucky punch.
I'm just sick of this shit, I've been in this debate probably a thousand times. The ''equal rights amendment'' was passed sometime in the 70's, so if I go punch my brother, then my wife, it's the same crime, it's both violent and equally wrong, it's not worse because of gender, and thinking so is very ignorant. Might as well say only MEN can be the bread winner then huh? WOMEN shouldn't vote either. Lol if you think it's extra wrong to hit women, especially after they hit you first, just GTFO.
