People who believe in conspiracies can find signs in anything. Literally, everything has some form of connection to a super secret plan, being used to control the world. Personally, I feel people believe them because it makes them feel smarter. Say, a random terrorist attack occurred-- Conspiracist would put together signs and come up with explanations, explaining why it happened and whats the ultimate plan.
