I'd like the new mod to be someone whos going to get involved in things, someone who will add to the site in general. Not just someone to delete votes and change names.

& i thing a change of Topical Moderator is in order. I feel like Verity has done well in consolidating the area but maybe its time for someone with more passion for the topic (pun intended).

@Just C it was dead before I took over too. I offered 2 buy in cypher tournaments (text and audio) that everybody signed up for because it's what they wanted, people were requesting buy in tournaments for good prizes and I found that information out from surveys about what would motivate people to drop more in the writers block lounge and also battle in the topical arena. Everybody signed up and said it was a dope idea, then nobody was interested when they actually had to 'buy in' which is fine, but I tried. (Money was going to be donated back to the site). I also tried to recruit people from other battling sites to come over to Letsbeef for said competition, as well as contacting established artists through twitter and they were going to join up as soon as people started to pay.

I also tried to run a hugely unsuccessful tournament, but the topical lounge was still at it's peek at that point with a lot of talent actually bothering to show up. I put a lot of effort into it to steer away from the generic depressing topics that put people off battling (again, researched peoples views on topicals and what stops them from taking part) by having concept rounds, again.. no shows.

So yeah, the Topical arena is dead. Part of it is my fault, but I did try. I would do a much better job at keeping something alive, than bringing it back from the dead, as would anybody.

I appreciate the kind words and whatnot but I'd rather not take a serious mod spot. I have too many other obligations. I wouldn't be able to give the amount of help and time that I'd like to.

A lot of these other people are fully qualified though. Also, I would make the best topical mod. Shit happens.

I didn't read all the pages, so I don't know all the nominations.

Dono would have been my first choice, but since he objected, I'd nominate him for topical mod in a heartbeat.

My other nominations:

@Verity deserved a shot. I feel she could handle it, has the tenure here, gets along with most on a personal level and I trust her character.

Other nominations some wouldn't agree with:

Erupt and Unyqe.

I feel both are solid guys that generally would work to better this site, come up with fresh ideas and I think both have the character to be mod material someday.

And for the record guys, the shoes you'll be filling are mine. I'm backing down some to work on some outside shit that'll take most of my attentions. I'll still be around in some fashion, just not as staff.
