I still need to know yall definition of a cypher. My idea of a cypher was just spitting bars. I know Mindless gave the outline, but the people voting say:

-It can be about anything
-The someone else says stay on topic
-It can't sound like battle bars
-It can't have punchlines

If you have to stay on topic doesn't that make it a concept battle?

It can be about fucking anything. Only rule is you have to separate the lines and not just keep typing without pressing enter. Flow plays a good part in this.. we're voting on the best verses, period.

A cypher can have a topic but u really don't have to follow it. Think of songs like Derrick Rose and Tyler Herro. The songs really have nothing to do with them besides them saying their name in the chorus/hook and throwing in a few references from time to time
