I actually agree with @MadVerbs, I think there's a strong argument to make for why recycling shouldn't be against the rules. Although, if you could just sit back on some really fire bars/concepts you've had over the years and pull them out again whenever you needed them, I think it would take away some of the endless creative drive to stay at the top that makes being a champion so difficult and respected. idk, it's a tough one on what the rule should be.

As far as what happens here though I think it's pretty clear. We can't DQ Grizz and Rican for reusing a bar from a battle that has since been deleted, then turn around a few months later and be like "nah it's all good now". The rule is not a new one, and a long-time member like MV should have been aware of it. Thank you for addressing the issue head on and being up front about it, unfortunately a lot of battlers wouldn't do the same.

This is why we need a clear, comprehensive ruleset posted where everyone can easily find it. And, as far as I know, there isn't.

The rules that exist haven’t been updated since 2012. This became an issue not too long ago when biting punishments didn’t match what was listed on the official site rules. The section needs an overhaul with clear examples and definitions of each infraction to avoid these sorts of issues.

when i was a mod, i was making this with shodans help, but that was close to the time everything blew up. also on a side note, there have been like 50 rules changes made by mods, so there's very few "set in stone" rules on lb.

x had me stop writing the rules, because after that shit with rant, he decided to hire a lawyer to write out a set of rules. i'm not sure he ever did that, but hey, it could still be in the works.

The rules and what was put in the "contract" ,felt like signing a slave deal just signing up here..lol i guarantee it's not valid..plus.. that BeatDisk thing they had, had beats for sale but people could rap over them for free on here, which had to be a crime..defeated the purpose of selling,for every feature for free, you costed us the price of the beat..
