Introducing LetsBeef Seasonal Tournaments...
As many of you may have noticed, we recently completed our 2018 Summer Audio and Text tournaments. These are actually the first of a new set of seasonal tournaments we will be having quarterly. Throughout the year, there will be four seasonal tournaments: Spring, Summer, Fall, and the Winter Tournament.
All of these will come with a $250 cash prize as well as a championship title reflecting the year and the season. There will also be additional prizes such as a LetsBeef T-shirt and/or a LetsBeef logo New Era hat mailed to the winner. These additional prizes may vary from time to time.
How to qualify for Seasonal Tournaments...
In a GC tournament, the previous month's rankings are typically used as a qualifier. For each Seasonal Tournament, however, the qualifying period will be the preceding three months. So for example, if the Spring tournament is taking place in March, the qualifying period for that will be December, January, and February. We will go based on the accumulated ranked points over that three-month period. Whoever accumulates the most ranked points over the three months will be ranked number 1 for the purpose of our seasonal tournament. Whoever accumulates the second most ranked points will be ranked number 2, and so on and so forth. This should ensure that tournament has a full roster (64), and it will also make it more competitive. You won't necessarily have to have battled in all three months to qualify, however you must have accumulated enough ranked points to place in the top 64 when it's all said and done.
In conclusion...
We're skipping Fall this year since we started the Summer so late. The next seasonal tournament will be the 2018 Winter Tournament, which will take place in December. The qualifier for that is September, October, and November. Every year henceforth, the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter tournaments will take place in March, June, September, and December respectively. I'll post and update the Audio and Text rankings (accumulated ranked points) below, leading up to the Winter tournament in December.
