understandable since I drifted off talking about battling which was answering NOBLEs point about how the site should focus only on battling instead. I simply said that it's both cause battling random people can get boring fast. Shit talking in the forums gives an incentive to battle and try your hardest to beat the person you 'beefin' with

It's funny though. Every other site I can think of which had a CB was dead af and eventually died. And those were more forum based I.E they had to battle via the forums.

I wouldn't say remove it completely, but I would suggest a 2 week or 1 month trial just to see how it goes.

It can't get much worse tbph so why not give it a go.

Truth is when I started (Yes it was because I wanted to battle obv) it was the community interaction that kept me here. I got more of a kick out of the feed and reaction (Both forum and battle/Track comments) Than the act of recording it self.

The motivation from some cocky fucker running his mouth in the forums or userplane. Inspiration and Ideas for bars from the back and forth banter in the forums. I could go on for days. Point is, I think you are severely underestimating the value of a forums activity.


Another thing. The 1st thing I checked was the forums. If this place was as dead as it is now I'd of never signed up. Just like the countless other dead ass sites I've checked out over the years.


I've always been an advocate for the forums. I mean it was me who who got the Gen Disc to the forefront of the forums rather than everyone using the Text Lounge, which was buried halfway down the list behind a bunch of graveyards lol.

As someone who's new to this site, what I'm mainly attracted to right now is battling and getting better by battling and voting on other people's battles. When a day passes and I haven't received feedback on my battle, it gives me the perception that the site is kinda dead. Looking through, not much seems to be happening, and both the Facebook and Twitter haven't posted in a while, so although y'all have a nice community going, the site itself isn't doing much to attract fresh faces-the community will keep them there. The site's great, but you'll probably need more then two votes per battle to keep people here in the short term. Just my thoughts, but it seems like a good community, and there's no other site like it (that I've found so far).

Another thing-
It looks like the vast majority of active users here are exclusive members, but I don't even have the option of going exclusive (I click the Upgrade button and it just says "Letsbeef does not have any paid subscriptions at this time), so I can't vote on tournaments, which seems like the most fun part of this site currently IMO.

(Also, the whole "crew" thing seems dead besides using it against someone in a punch)

Sounds great, currently the "open for votes" section is filled with unfinished battles from 2008 so I didn't even know that was still a feature lmao

I'm not sure if it's functioning either @AlphaBeta..I remember that they fixed or where going to fix it some time back but i dont know the outcome.

If the feature is broken we can still randomize the matchups, do the battles in the basic arena then add up the scores to see who wins
