I like that Virgil LoDs self proclaimed "secret weapon" can potentially be the reason they lose.

Briefly, the first piece was worded effectively and as a result it read much smoother than the latter. The author did a great job of painting a mental image for the reader and although I wasnt particularily fond of how certain parts of the story seemed to contradict others(the bear being lost/thrown while 'Billy' concludes that he thinks it's in a better place) or the ending in general, the verse as a whole was both engaging and enjoyable.

The second writer utilized an impressive vocabulary to compose a verse that was much more realistic and straight-forward, however their scheme-work and presentation was fairly bland, which resulted in a more-complex, but overall less entertaining read.

I got permission from Rule to vote on this so here we go.

1st Topical: I really liked the story here and creative i thought. The flow was there the vocab was there everything was there to make this a good topical. I agree with I believe Rule said it? it had a toy story esque feel to it but I actually liked that. Through just letters back and forth you showed the story progression really well. Overall this was a really damn good topical.

2nd Topical: The flow was a bit iffy in a couple lines other then that the flow was really good. I think it was the third stanza flowed fucking beautifully. The story was not vague but a little to mysterious for me. It took me a little bit to figure out what the story was. But when i figured it out I was like wow that was good. Also that last line? Fucking Brilliant. Overall another really damn good topical.

Decision: I believe structure and things do matter in topicals. But the most important thing I believe is how well the story resonates to people and the creativity and uniqueness put into it. For those reasons MVGT Topical #1
