I believe the "creator" is something we cant even fathom yet. Some explanation that is even beyond our comprehension. Something that in the future, will make perfect sense, but will be too out there for us to get a grip of right now.
One thing I hate about religion is the "question mark". Religious people like to replace the question mark with the word "God". For years it was "What created the universe?". We found out about the Big Bang, putting the question mark one place back to "What created the Big Bang?". We keep finding out more, but that "Then what created that?" section is always maintained to be God. |
I'm an Agnostic Theist. . . . .Wrap ya mind around that yo.
Agnostic Theism is sometimes paralleled with the process employed by science called [[Philosophy of Science|Scientific Method]. It is supposed that when a scientist asserts a hypothesis, she believes in it faithfully. Her belief might be true, but it is not known, since it's truth has not been established justifiably. Agnostic Theists sometimes claim that their belief holds the same status as such a scientific conjecture. However, when the Agnostic Theist claims to hold his beliefs without 'knowing' them, he does so because of the overwhelming 'faith' or belief in God. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...of-Kno.svg.png Agnostic theism could be interpreted as an admission that it is not possible to justify one's belief in a god sufficiently for it to be considered known. This may be because they consider faith a requirement of their religion, or because of the influence of plausible-seeming scientific or philosophical criticism. |
Maybe the creator created the Big Bang, ever thought of that? @Row

but I feel you eth, as far as the evidence is concerned, always a question mark, but the way I see it, we wont be here 2mrw, so what do you believe in today. cus if you keep questioning things it would go somthing like.... "if God created the big bang, then what created God, and if God created God, then what created the God that created the God, and if God Created the God that created the God, then what created the God that created the God that created the God that created the God. At some point there has to be an end. Its like the domino effect ---------- Post added at 07:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:13 PM ---------- Quote:
there is no proof, and its "too out there" for you to get a grip on....... ? curious |

[QUOTE] But when you think about it, being an Agnostic Theist is generally categorized as being a weak atheist, or a weak theist... observe Dawkins scale, Its like playing both sides of the fence. If youre here why not believe fully in something? nahmean.... Atheists/theist who identify themselves as agnostics are doing a grave disservice to free and rational thinkers..... I would rather someone say they are Atheist, or Just plainly say they believe in themselves, then play the fence, fully believing in something is better than half heartedly, that stems past religion imo .. and into the depths of "the law of attraction" |

If you think about its the best stance to have... I believe in 'God' I have faith - I'm FAR from an Atheist bro. .... but I also Think a person who says their beliefs are true facts (w/o proof) are blind. In religion, faith often involves accepting claims about the character of a deity, nature, or the universe. While some have argued that faith is opposed to reason, proponents of faith argue that the proper domain of faith concerns questions which cannot be settled by evidence. Meaning I believe in God, but I question EVERYTHING. You needs facts to prove beliefs that religious nuts live blindly by... I however do not need facts to have faith. I consider Agnostic Theism as having faith in 'God', but not belief in religion per say. I know Jesus died on the cross for me ya know, that we have proof of... BUT I certainly think that Christianity like nearly all religions get twisted by ppl claiming certainties. |
