its one of those things where you get where someone is trying to go and you understand what they were trying to accomplish but at the same time I feel like its forced because although there is relevance as far as Frazier and the quote it really didn't mean much, idk.... its an ok line.. thats being generous... seems like a stretch to me, but Frazier, Phrase Yer is the way I see it "working" if thats what you want to call it

"so watch how you "PHRASE YA" STATEMENTS!!" = Ok.

"so watch how you "FRAZIER" STATEMENTS!!" = Makes no sense.

He just didnt break the word frazier down to phrase ya/yur in the end multi set, still works , just implied wordplay/wording, .@Just C

Thats exactly what I mean @ Jus its a forced wordplay just to fit an irrelevant quote in to a battle that was probably trash anyway...

i think i see where he was tryin to go with it even tho it didnt hit as hard as it could

joe frazier would make statements in the heat of the moment that he would regret later and i remember him saying he wouldnt give credit to modern day fighters for using techniques fighters in his day have used..

so i guess PHRASE YUR STATEMENTS/FRAZIER statements does work both ways

Erupt da Monsta 04-17-2012 11:32 AM

its just not worded correctly, because watch how u frazier statements doesnt flow smoothly into the punch

so watch how you frazier statements

phrase ya/yur wordplay works, just the bar initself is forced. not alot, but still forced.

If he ment it to be "phrase a " ,there wouldnt be an s on the end of statements, simple english/

Joe Frazier

Joe-Fray-Sa <---- Thats perfectly acceptable to me.

Joe-Fray-Sir <---- Is the most common way to say it but the former works fine.

This is hip hop, not bible readings, fucks wrong with y'all lol.

Lol.

The best wordplay works both ways in a sentence.

You can still have good 1 way nameplay.

But

"so watch how you "FRAZIER" STATEMENTS!!"

Doesn't makes ANY sense as a sentence.

Hence it only work's 1 way.
