Just thought I'd say what we were all thinkin'.

I get what @OSKAR is saying with having too many tournaments. Especially if the site is inactive... there won't be as many people voting or getting into the tournaments right now.

The tournaments that I think should prevail are:

Grand Champion 1x a Year.
Rookie Champion 1x a Year.
Tag Team Championship 1x a Year.
Crew Championship 1x a Year.
One Bar Tournament 1x a Year.
+ Horrorcore Championship 1x a Year could be pretty cool. A red title for that would be ill whether the tourney is held in brackets or in the forums like other sites.

That would make for 6 tournaments a year... one every 2 months which is plenty enough IMO.

If people want to do scheme, sports, jokes over bars, or whatever else is in dispute... it should be held in the forums and not be given titles... If too many titles are given out it becomes over-saturated and no longer hold any weight what so ever.

That's just my opinion...

I wasn't around for this scheme tourney. The Topical Championship is cool, too.

I just think if there's so many titles being thrown out every which way, you'll come to a point where every single active person will have a title. What makes it special then?

Also, if you say you won't be active UNLESS there's a tourney every month that's pretty ridiculous.

I was saying this for so long, but unfortunately for a lot of guys the damage was done. I even got quotes from Jason and UA saying they wouldn't enter another GC because the usertitles had been such a negative thing for the meaning of what they'd won. Yet it was only like 2 weeks ago that something was actually done about it, shocking.

For me, there are 8 core LB titles.

^ I agree that you can't negate Tag-Team. That one had an interesting angle where you could team up with people you're not even crewed with and bounce lines off each other.
It was a dope concept.

@ILLoKWENT As for a theme championship, I feel like it'd just be corny, especially if others will be running around with the Scheme title... too similar.

Plus, what's the difference between a theme and a topical battle, really? Just keep Topical...

Difference is the topical is a verse talkin about the topic.. theme is using the given concept and flippin on your opponent in a battle.. two similar but different approaches.. also concepts are an important element in battles.. and your competing on who can use the given theme better than the other... same shit wit the scheme tourney... ur given a multi to run with the entire verse..so it aint corny at all..

@remarK... the horrorcore would be feasible as a concept that could be used in the concept tourney as one of the given themes of a round... same wit the other suggested ones like jokes over bars..athletic.... etc.etc.. they all are concepts....and can be utilized during the tourney at any time in a round.. good suggestions tho

@-James- This is kinda late, but I joined September of last year I think. Although to be fair I never got invited to the ROTY tourney last year and my only battles last year were with some irrelevant no-names and Macc.

As for the rest of it, I agree that too many tourneys makes titles less valuable, but I think it also boosts activity. I still like the old system of having a bunch of lesser "green" tourneys and then fewer, more prestigious "orange" tourneys. Or make custom titles for the big tourneys like Diss when he had the "Punchline God" thing. Hell, you could even make it so GC winners get a customizable title like the donors.

Personally, I think anon text tourneys would be hard for me due to excessive nameplay and horrorcore is just fucking lame IMO, but I'm sure they'd still generate activity, so go for it.

Anon Topical Tournament imo has proven itself to be a dope topical tournament twice now, and has got a lot of people excited about the site so I reckon it deserve's it's title.
