I agree with this. Don't limit their creativity. Let them do whatever they like. I don't really see what's to gain from making everyone use the same beat or choose from a selection of 5.

That system is fine. Not only is it more than adequate, it also tests the contestants to see who is actually better than the others. Pretty much anyone can jump on a beat of their choosing and spit a track, the real competitors will be the ones who thrive within those limitations. Same thing with actually battling then entering a scheme tourney, it shows who is creative enough to adapt to their surroundings and paint a picture with a limited canvas.

Also, since like October 2013 Rock wasn't in ACs for like 2 months. Not exactly the same. It's obviously not recruiting I have a problem with though. MM has a mix of established guys and some newer guys, so if someone like Mayneak works in the crew dynamic then recruit away. I actually hit up May a few days before Illmania was announced too.

It's the idea of recruiting FOR Illmania that annoys me. But fuck it. No point in sweating what's not going to change. I'm not going to go out bringing in people I know won't really work for the crew in the long haul just for the purpose of the crew thing. Wouldn't fit the dynamic over here.
