They don't have to be capped. I think they CAN have an effect on flow, and it is quite annoying to look at which again can have an effect, but at when they're in the middle like that they are okay to rhyme along with.

A multi starts with the first syllable and ends with the last syllable. Everything inside that is part of the multi, whether capped or not.

The way that looks to me is 5, 4, 5, even though I can assume the "a"s and "in" are emphasized, and apart of the scheme. They must be capped to show placement and emphasis for a smoother read.

nah i would have them lower case too. It just signifies the dip in cadence.

You're supposed to assume they're part of the scheme. Just because they're not capped in the middle of the scheme doesn't mean they disappear.

Really? It wouldn't effect my pronunciation at all.

Yeah if a filler syllable in a multi set is uncapped i assume the writer wants it pronouced less harshly so i dip the cadence a touch.

But we see it all the time where people separate multies with non capped words.

I thought the multies gotta be crisp, you cant just throw just any syllable aligned words

The syllable sounds are one thing (I think even Seul would say that rhyming isn't perfect by any stretch phonetically)

However, the syllable count is fine. The a and the other word being lowercase in the multi set doesn't change the syllable count. I hope that's not the confusion here.

That's kinda the point...at first glance, it looks like a broken multi, until you realize the small caps go with the capped multies, when we have several people that break multies up with non capped words all the time.
Just to put them back together.

2nd problem, it's part of my grading. I go through and read caps exclusively, after I read the verse, helps figure out if the multies are broken. And rhyming smoothly.

Also the tutorial examples have ALL multi words capped.

If we can just cut corners and bend what a multi is, what's the point of having a format...

If I didn't cap any of my rhymes, would all of my multis be broken?

We do fault people for not capping multies, we've been seeing that with a couple members and I think everyone agrees capping multies vs not capping them changes flow.
