Introduction
Welcome to June's LBT PPV - Desert Storm, presented by Edgeworth. This month we have a massive turn-out. This means we are going to have to open up an extra wrung on the ladder, and run 1 "Promo Match" for 2 of our newcomers. The winner will secure a spot on the Undercard next month.
For this month's card, we have a rekindling of an old rivalry with Jimmy Hoffa calling out Rai for the title. These 2 have been 2 of the strongest battlers on the site over the last 12 months. Fans were robbed of the last installment of this rivalry when Jimmy had to unfortunately no-show the title match for the then vacated LBT belt. Now, the two will face off as Rai looks to continue his quest towards the 2x LBT King distinction, and Jimmy looks to once again prove he's the big dog on campus.
We also have KG once again climbing his way up the ladder, and is back in the no.1 contender's match after knocking off Shodan. He meets o EaSTeS x, who's making his first run for the belt. We also have some long time LB vets like Student and Punk hopping back in the ring for this card, as they look to shake off some rust and make a run for the top. The card is rounded out by a healthy crop of talented newcomers, who are surely eager to start turning themsevles into household names.
We are continuing the reward system first created for the May LBT PPV - Turn of the Tides. First, we have the
Championship Purse, which is a 25 credit reward given to the winner of the title match. We also have
Edge's Verse of the Night, which will be a 15 credit reward given to the best verse across all the battles (selected by me). Finally, we have the
Voter's Choice Battle of the Night, which will be voted on by the site at the conclusion of the card, with both participants from the battle voted as the best earning 10 credits each.
