Islamic radicalism is also a function of western interventionist policy. Pretty much every extreme Islamic state was started in some fashion through western intervention, and every natural movement in recent islam has been progressive. It's hilarious that people would radicalize a community, then turn around and discriminate against them. A pretty classic form of disenfranchisement. Makes me wonder if that's really part of what its about. |
