BIG was alright but he wasn't great.. Lyrically I'd shit on Notorious B.I.G....written OR freestyle and that's no disrespect to the dead man. His style is too basic, his rhyme patterns are lame, and his lyricism is like a watered down Nas. great story teller though.


He shook shit up while he was here with timeless records and me being from right outside NY during the time he was alive & famous I saw the impact he had on the world firsthand. Doesn't make him a great rapper though

I wouldn't consider Eminem the G.O.A.T but he's certainly the greatest white rapper ever and probably the most influential rapper period when you consider how many white kids he inspired to get into rap.
Notorious B.I.G doesn't come anywhere close to Rakim imo, and to me, he's not even as nice as Pac and that's not to take away anything from him. he's still a legend.
