you cant compare solo artist efforts with that of LBs...the mixtape was rushed, half-assed, and that was the outcome...whoever came up with the idea to get a tape out within a few weeks span is high - @RULE @Pugz @WHOeverelsewasinchargeofthis - lol yall ran a competition for a cover and like 3 were submitted...fail...right off the bat, yall shoulda knew something was up and that this needed a little more thought...then yall took whatever tracks you could get, from whoever would send them in...half the ppl on the tracklist arent even on LB anymore - again, fail

im not saying i know every detail that goes into making a successful mixtape - i have a hard enough time breaking 100 downloads - but any fool couldve told you this was going to fail

Yeah that L.B tape would have been a lot better and much more polished had I been picking. I was literally biting my tongue with a grip of track links ready to post and cause a rukus but I left it alone. lol. I think myself and Phil should run the next 1 where WE pick what goes on. people can submit their track still, but that doesn't mean you'll get on. Props to Rule though cause at least he went there and offered. prolly why I never said anything at the time tbh.

Word. but Lol me and Phil might have some disagreements cause getting back to this thread that Rollin track would make it on a tape. Preference aside it shows a genuine talent of the site. from delivery to production. I haven't heard such a well made song on here for a while on the same level as Rollin.

I think having the total package to show case the sites talent is very important, regardless of preference.

phil youre spot on - its frusterating when you dont see that, but end of the day it doesnt change the fact youre right...the thing is, theres so many scam artists out there looking for a fast dollar that as an artist, you have no clue who you can trust...its not an excuse, but it is a deterrent...its amazing how many ppl think its as easy as just making and releasing a song

as for the LB tape - i fully believe that it can be used as a recruitment tool...everyone and their brother (and sister nowadays) wants to rap - but a lot have no clue where to start, how to connect with anyone else, ect...personally, i think LB should be out there looking for these people - that is exactly the type of demographic were looking for - and it always amazed me that the owners would just settle for whoever decided to join each year...with new blood comes new insight

heres a suggestion - connect with some newer blogs (which is very easy) that pertain to hiphop and have them feature LB...heres another - merchandising...how hard is it to order X amount of stickers, send them to whoever is willing (members, mods, ect) and have them be distributed throughout each city...possibilities are endless
