I hate to say this, cause you may twist this in a way that im COMPLAINING and CRYING about not winning.. but its this kinda thing that really has kept me away from letsbeef the past 2 years.. ill put work into tracks.. and all you get is.. "DOPE" OR "DIME" and you have NO IDEA what their thoughts were... Thats as far as TRACKS.. now the COMPS are even worse.. cause its supposed to be SHOWCASED or SPECIAL.. and its the same thing....
Ill be honest with you, it all comes down to this site being full of RAPPERS.. I have come to find that RAPPERS, especially underground rappers like ourself.. dont really enjoy other rappers that much.. At least that is what it seems like to me.. i have been on this site for 5 years and I think thats a pretty close opinion to hitting the target..
like I said.. this comp didnt evne make the HOME PAGE NEWS, yea, it might have come up on CHAT saying CLICK HERE.. but people just close those.. something they will see over and over (WHEN THEY LOG ON) they might be in the mood at that time, or have the time to check out a dozen tracks like we have here..
thats another thing, and not trying to ramble and im not RAGEING im just speaking my opions to see if anyone agrees, but I thought these TRACK COMPS would be dope and in concept they are, but the avg voter is NOT going to listen to EVERY single track before making their call.... not saying thats why u got votes just c.. im saying THOSE people might say.. hey.. im not listening to ALL of these for whatever reason.. so im just not going to vote
future comps like this.. .we need to find a better way of promoting, maybe bring a shit ton of OTHER CATS from another RAP FORUM somewhere that knows NONE of us and see what they think
1) would bring traffic to the site and possibly NEW accounts and members
2) Need more FANS of underground music.. people that DONT RAP.. i dont know.. this site needs more PEOPLE, who enjoy music.. not saying the people here DONT, but more people that actually just want to listen to music.. those people are more likely to not NIT PICK at STRUCTURE and all the things that have almost made us JADED to listening to music.. at least for myself.. when I listen to ANY rap these days.. unless im high as fuck and I really think its dope, I just concentrate on their rhyme scheme, or how the beat was produced, or the quality and think of the ways they came up with that sound
fuck it, if anything else.. yall gotta a lil glimpse in my head, its not like anything else is really going on in this thread atm anyway..
