I have to agree Hip Hop has always been about Freestyle and being able to spit.... Forums like this gives other people the opportunity to be able to write... That does not mean your a Hip Hop Artist.. your just a writer who writes with a Hip Hop style. Two very different concepts!...

Also I see a lot of textee battlers can write their drops.... but can't spit for shit.... These forums have made me a better WRITER... and I can spit... but I don't for a living and don't battle so I would not be as good as others who do it for a living and on a regular basis....

To me, freestyling has always been irrelevant. If you have a quicker thought process to think of a rhyme, but are completely unable to have harder bars when it comes down to a written, then what's the skill?

The hardest punchlines come from written battles, obviously. I don't want to see meh Vs meh, I want to see someone's best Vs someone's best, and no body is better at freestyling than writing.
