fuck outta here with that, you haven't made it. How are you going to speak from experience that you don't even have?

That's like a baby teaching a grown man how to walk

& i'm keeping my options open by not being fully committed to Full Sail. smart enough to know music should be a hobby instead of a job.

& you sound really really bitter about not having any connections. that sucks for you, but I can't help that I have connections. try being social...you'll meet people.

well, i did work with a music management team in los angeles on trying to launch a so called music career for myself. One guy on the team had been the game for 15 years, released kool keith albums, rapped with deltron... seen it all. so i got to chop the shit with that dude quite a bit. i had a clothing sponsor, connections, free studio time, and a college tour on the way. in a month i hated it. i saw how fucking stupid all of it was, the majority of the people have no real talent, they just want to get loaded and talk about the future. So when these people wanted to tell other people what my music was about, i would flip out... tore me apart from the team and i told em all i wanted out. i have no connections because i don't want connections... since this has now become my hobby/art again not my ticket out of having to work hard. i have given myself full creative control.

i'm not trying to diss you i'm trying to let you know. you don't have to listen, but i wish someone was there to tell me this kinda shit before i made that move. but, you sound bull headed.. like me.. so you'll have to go and find out for yourself

nahh i understand what you're tryna say and I appreciate the words of wisdom..i just don't like how you're tellin me your way is the right/best way to do it and my way is a waste of money, etc etc...just because that didn't work for you, doesn't mean it won't work for the next guy. we're all different people. we all have different experiences

SH1T L0RD 01-13-2012 07:23 PM

so lemme ask this. are you a producer? have you shown any interest in producing music? or just spittin bars? you don't needa go to school to spit bars man. and if you do go to school you'll get a job as a studio lacky most likely or working radio or some sort of sound editing job. thats a silent man's job

your plan just doesnt make any sense to me. and no, we took two different paths, i never went to school for music. even in my lapse of judgement i knew that music school was kinda a waste of time/money. trust dog i know kids in those schools and theyre not doin shit but spending money/paying off loans. To be honest, any type of education that is dope/easy is not worth your time. go do that kinda shit in your free time

SH1T L0RD 01-13-2012 07:38 PM

still the ultimate irony is if i really wanted to shit on you i'd tell you it's a great idea

Godbody 01-13-2012 08:32 PM

nahh. not even. Like I said, i'm not even committed to Full Sail. I'm really open to getting an education though, and I have relatives & friends tellin me it's a good school so I checked it out. I'm not one of those dudes that saw the ad and said "o wow its on the internet so it must b gud" ...lol.

But I know professions in the music field vary and alot of them are wack jobs or jobs that wouldn't earn you as much as....lets say...someone that went to college for 6 or 8 years and earns a steady six-figure income. that's more like where my mind is at right now. & rap'll be a hobby I'll pursue sometime in the future that I'll be able to fund myself once my money is right. But hey, if I happen to become a successful rapper before I finish college I think you know which career i'll be sticking with.

a successful rapper is probably something you agree with me on because you know its one of your biggest passions. being able to become a success and earn 7..or even 9-10 figures is a much bigger dream than the 6 figure maximum your field/profession pays you.

it would be retarded to go to the school when you can take the class online
